The start capacitor is switched off after an adjustable time delay. The time delay corresponds to the time required for the motor to achieve nominal rotary speed after start up. APPLICATION The relay is particularly suitable for applications demanding frequent switching, including: Single phase motors Three phase motors at single phase ADVANTAGES Highly reliable component Electronic function - wear-free non moving parts Compact construction for mounting inside the motor terminal box Easier to install and adjust than centrifugal switches Optimum setting of motor torque by means of an adjustable switch off time of the start capacitor Complete suppression of sparking during switching (unlike mechanical switches) High tripping currents in one compact device TECHNICAL DATA Operational voltage Switching current IB Time delay until start capacitor switches off Operating temperature of device Ambient temperature Storage temperature Time delay to reclosing of the start capacitor: Type ERA Type ERA-nd 230V or 115V 10% Warning - The operational liability cannot be guaranteed with a permanent overvoltage of +10% and a maximum ambient temperature at the same time. 24A max, ambient temperature +80oC max 0.25 - 5 seconds 10% Adjustable supply voltages above the rated voltage and ambient temperatures above the rated temperature reduce these times. Supply voltages below the rated voltage increase the times. o 0 to +70 C Maximum +80 oC - 40 to +85 oC 60 seconds approx. < 50 micro-seconds Statements, technical information and recommendations contained herein are based on tests we believe to be reliable but they are not to be construed in any manner as warranties expressed or implied.
