Social Programme
A programme of exciting social events will be
offered, for example a welcome reception, poster
party, congress party at the DOGANA (the historic
heart of the congress centre), sight-seeing,
excursions and farewell dinner.
Conference Venue
The Conference will be held in Innsbruck at the
convention centre CONGRESS INNSBRUCK GmbH,
Rennweg 3, A-6020 Innsbruck. The conference
centre was "Best congress centre 2001 - AIPC Apex
Award Winner" and is situated next to the
entrance of the Old Town. Please visit the centre
on www.congress-innsbruck.at.
The City of Innsbruck
Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol, has 130 000
inhabitants. The city is located at the heart of the
Alps at 574 m above sea level and encircled by
majestic mountain peaks. Innsbruck’s completely
preserved Old Town dates back to the Middle Ages.
With its most famous landmark, the Golden Roof,
and its magnificent Hofburg Palace, Innsbruck
belongs to the most beautiful and interesting cities
in Central Europe. Due to its location at crossroads
of north and south, east and west, and its
intellectual background as a famous university city
with some 28 000 students, the city enjoys great
political and cultural standing.
Accommodation
A very wide range of accommodation from 5 star
hotels to simpler hotels, boarding houses and private
rooms is available for the time of the conference.

europacat@congress-innsbruck.at, the congress will
receive credit for each booking which will help to
reduce the congress costs.

Scientific Programme
The programme offers three parallel sessions with
ample time for discussion. Two poster sessions provide
room for detailed scientific discourse among specialists
in a particular field. Three substantial prizes will be
awarded for posters by an international jury.

Submissions should always be made using the
application form available on the website of the
conference - www.europacat.org.
Special Symposia (Session IV)
A fourth session has been provided for Special
Symposia and meetings of the national catalysis
societies and national and European networks.
Proposals should be submitted via the national
EFCATS representative. Please specify topic and
expected length.
