RENTAL CONDITIONS TRAVELAND

Camper rate includes:

• Rates are per night. Seven night minimum rental period (12 Days if dropping off in Calgary).

• first 1000km,

1 free extra driver, preparation fee, 2 kits, 2 chairs and an axe.

• Every motorhome is covered by $5 million public liability included in the daily rate. The collision deductible is $600.

• The vehicles are provided to the renter with a full tank of gasoline (or diesel) and must be returned with a full tank.

• Maximum 2 year old campers

• Complimentary roadmaps, camping directories, brochures from individual RV parks throughout the province, tourist attractions such as whale watching, water rafting, fishing excursions, city tours and

BC Ferry schedule are available for each client.

All rates and conditions are subject to change as required and without prior notification.

DEPOSITS

At the time of a rental motorhome pick-up, clients must leave a security/insurance deposit on Visa or

MasterCard; no cash deposits will be accepted. The amount of the security deposit will be $600.00.

The amount will be charged to the client’s credit card on day of vehicle pick-up and reimbursed on day of vehicle drop-off, less any incurred charges (extra km driven, damage, cleanliness etc.). We are not responsible for any currency loss due to the exchange rate at time of charge and credit.

ORIENTATION

Clients will receive a full comprehensive orientation of the motorhome at the time of pick-up in

German or English. We will cover client’s responsibilities, helpful tips and safety measures to be taken to fully enjoy use of the motorhome. The presentation takes approximately one hour, and a manual is provided in the event of a question that was not covered during this time. We also have a toll free North American telephone number where client’s can reach us during business hours.

DRIVERS

The drivers must be 23 years of age or older (international drivers age 21 are permitted to rent motor homes up to 25 feet) and have a valid driver’s license from his or her origin. ONE additional driver is free of charge. Please check license validity before reserving the vehicle. Truck and 5th wheel: maximum age of driver 68 years.

PREPARATION FEE

The preparation fee of $100.00 includes first tank of propane, first set of toilet chemicals and first set of biodegradable toilet paper and kitchen equipment.

PER VEHICLE: Can / bottle opener, carving knife, cereal/salad bowls, coffee carafe filter, colander/strainer, corkscrew, cutlery (knives, forks, tablespoons, teaspoons), cutlery tray, cutting board, dinner plates, frying pan, garbage/waste can, glasses, grater, kettle, ladle, measuring cup, mugs, paring knife, peeler, pitcher/juice container, pots (set of 3), roast fork, serving spoon, side plates, spatula, steak knives, tongs, whisk, wood spoon. Broom, butane lighter, clothes hanger, clothes line and pins, dish cloths, fly swatter, dish detergent, dust pan, oven tray, pail/bucket, pot holders, pot scrubber, rubber gloves, table cloth, tea towels, wash cloth.

*Note: Tableware provided for 4-6 people depending on size of motorhome.

NO CHARGE STANDARD EQUIPMENT: Water hose, sewer hose, flash light, screw driver, pliers, 12V replacement light bulbs, basic first aid kit, fridge level, tools, leveling blocks, matches and scissors.

Calgary Drop off / One way fee

Traveland has only one station, which is in Langley, Vancouver BC. All vehicles are picked up at this station. However, it is possible to drop off in Calgary (one way fee applies/ must be pre=booked!).

Customers return the RV at the Best Western Hotel in Calgary and Traveland provides them with the address when they pick up the RV. Our driver will meet them there by 12:00 pm / noon on drop off day to receive the RV.

Currently there is a free shuttle service from this hotel to the airport. Apart from that, customers organize and pay for their “own” taxi for transportation, e.g. if they choose to stay in another hotel in

Calgary. Therefore, drop off taxi transfer should not be pre-booked for one way rentals.

Please have the customer take advantage of the “online check-in” feature (available in German and

English) to speed up the vehicle pick-up process and to make the clients feel “expected and welcome”. Clients will require the Traveland booking number (B-YVR-XXXXX) or the TO Ref. # as shown on the Traveland invoice, the pick-up date and pick-up location to access the system and enter their information.

Please publish this link and enclose a copy with the documents send out to your customers. Personal

customer data can be entered 48 hours after the initial reservation has been placed and up to 4 days prior to the scheduled vehicle pick-up by using the above link. It is especially a valuable tool for customers to inform Traveland about the hotel were they wish to be picked up (unless this information has already been passed on to Traveland via the Travel Agent).

FUEL/PROPANE

Gasoline and diesel costs are the client’s responsibility. Tanks are received full and must be returned the same way. Service charges PLUS the cost of fuel for the missing amount is charged to the customer if the vehicle is returned with the gasoline or diesel tank not completely full. One free propane fill per rental is included. Propane tank does not have to be refilled upon return.

HOLDING TANKS/WASTE/CLEANUP

It is the client’s responsibility to return the vehicle with a cleaned interior and emptied sewage tank

& waste water tank. Service charges apply if holding tanks are not completely empty upon return, or if interior is not cleaned. A fee of $40 per tank will be charged if holding tanks are not empty upon return.

PETS

Sorry, NO pets are allowed in any of our motorhomes. Cleaning fees will apply if pet hair & dander is detected, since this is an allergen that affects many people.

SMOKING

Absolutely NO SMOKING is allowed in the motorhome. All our motorhomes are NON-SMOKING units and applicable charges of up to $1000.00 may be incurred if the smell of smoke is detected in the motorhome upon return. Smoke is an allergen and is irritating to many people.

GRAVEL/NORTHERN SURCHARGE

Travel within Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories requires payment of $800.00 per rental

Northern Surcharge.

RESTRICTIONS

Travel to Hyder, AK is permitted without Northern Surcharge.

Travel in Mexico is not permissible at any time; the vehicle is NOT insured for travel outside

Canada and the U.S.A.

Logging roads, other roads, dirt roads and other non-public roads may not be used with the motorhome at any time.

Alaska/Yukon and North West Territories – Permitted ONLY with the additional Gravel/Northern surcharge of $800.00.

Travel on gravel roads is permitted as long as the road is marked as an access road to a Camp

Ground, Provincial Park or National Park. Any gravel roads marked as 4X4, Forestry Roads or Logging

Roads is not permitted at ANY TIME.

Traveling through Death Valley, California is not permitted from May 1st to October 30th.

Arizona – Traveling on Apache Trail east of Tortilla Flat to Roosevelt Dam is not permitted at ANY

TIME.

Burning Man: Travelling to desert festivals including “Burning Man” are not permitted.

Beaches – Driving a motorhome on the beach is not permissible.

Freezing – It is not permissible to have water in the tanks when temperatures are at freezing levels due to the possible damage to the fresh water and holding tanks and the water lines.

TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS

It is the client’s responsibility to report and pay for all traffic tickets, including parking tickets and

Bridge tolls upon drop-off. Customer’s failure to report these infractions to Traveland RV Rentals may

result in an administrative charge of up to $100.00 in addition to the cost of the fine and will be charged to the customer’s credit card after the motorhome rental has terminated, when notice has been received byTraveland of the offense.

VOUCHERS

Customer must provide voucher from Tour Operator/Agent for all prepaid services when they arrive at Traveland. If additional items/services are booked but not paid for in advance, clients must pay these prior to the start of their motorhome vacation.

MINIMUM RENTAL TIME

Minimum rental period is seven (7) days for all seasons.

CLEANING

Since we take pride in the clean condition in which our vehicles leave, a fee of up to $250 will be charged if the vehicle is not returned with a clean interior.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Traveland RV Rentals makes every effort to provide customers with the model requested. We do reserve the right, however, to substitute models of similar or larger size. If for any reason beyond our control the reserved motorhome is not available, we will offer a higher rated vehicle at no addition cost. Should a lower-rated motorhome be offered, our responsibility is limited to a refund of the difference of the two motorhomes.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS SINCE AT TIMES THIS WILL AFFECT CLIENTS FERRY RESERVATIONS EITHER

TO VANCOUVER ISLAND OR THE INSIDE PASSAGE.

TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN

In BC there are guidelines as to child seats for younger children. Please always mention when young children are traveling, along with their age & weight, so we can pre-reserve the appropriate child seats, to ensure they are available for rent if the clients desire. These can be prepaid by the

Agent/Operator or by the clients when they arrive at the station.

PICK-UP/DROP-OFF & TRANSER SERVICE

We provide morning pickup transfer service (by appointment only) from Airport and Downtown

Hotels between 7:30am and 12:00pm (noon). Customers are requested to contact us one or two days prior to pick up day to arrange for the shuttle transfer. The evening before pick up day, a message is left at the hotel reception stating the time they will be picked up in the morning to be brought to Traveland RV Rentals and start their motorhome holiday, so they can begin by or before

13:00pm. If customers do not receive this by the evening before pick-up, we suggest they call us. Motorhome drop-off time must take place on assigned bases and is between 9:00am and latest 12:00pm (noon) on the last day. The daily rental rate plus a penalty of $50.00 per hour will be charged for late returns.

INSURANCE

Every motorhome is covered by $5 million public liability included in the daily rate. The collision deductible is $600.

Refund-Policy

Traveland RV offers the newest RV rental fleet in British Columbia and is dedicated to outstanding customer service. At the same time, we cannot guarantee the absence of any inconvenience.

Traveland does not refund for incurring inconveniences.

Traveland RV will only reimburse costs:

1. As foreseen in the Vacation Interruption Insurance (see VIP Insurance on page 10)

2. Repairs explicitly authorized by Traveland stating a P.O. number (Receipts must be presented at drop-off).

3. Necessary costs up to 100.00 CAD for the replacement of broken or missing items which form part of the equipment of the motor-home/trailer/truck/5th wheel (Receipts must be presented at dropoff). In case of mechanical breakdown or mechanical malfunction it is the customers’ responsibility to seek help at a repair-station and to bear upcoming costs (except the costs for the repair itself under consideration of the insurance policy). For instance the customer bears all costs related to fuel needed to travel to and away from a repair-station.

In the event a client causes an accident and leaves the scene of the accident without reporting the details of the accident to Traveland, the client will be charged a fine of CAD500 in addition to the above deductible.

Vacation Interruption Insurance

Mechanical breakdown does not include malfunction of the radio, television, air conditioner(s) or generator. VIP Package applies only if mechanical breakdown requires the vehicle to be repaired more than 12 hours after it is reported to Traveland. Traveland will pay for a rental car and hotel for up to CAD250.00 per day, maximum of 3 days. Group travel excluded!

Important: Receipts must be presented at drop-off.

Exclusion

The insurance does not cover if a claim is directly or indirectly a result of one or more of the following:

 Operation of the vehicle in violation of the Agreement Conditions.

 Any event that occurs while the driver is under the influence of illicit drugs or alcohol.

 Transporting contraband or illegal trade.

 Carrying more than the maximum number of passengers.

 Customer has given false information regarding his/her person.

Driver has not been listed in the contract.

Damage due to intentional acts by any member of the group or any guest.

 Damage caused by the use of incorrect fuel type.

 Failure to maintain fluid levels.

 Damage to or loss of awning.

 Damage to the slide outs

Damage caused while hooking or unhooking a trailer/5th wheel

Collision damage between Truck and 5th wheel

FOR ALL ACCIDENTS, ACTS OF VANDALISM, THEFT OR FIRE, A POLICE REPORT MUST BE FILED.

INSURANCE INFORMATION

Included in the rental rates is an insurance (CDR: Collision Deductible Reduction) with $5 million third party liability. In the event of loss or damage to the vehicle, whether or not due to the fault of the

Renter, the Renters responsibility (provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the rental agreement) is limited to a maximum of $600 (provided mandatory VIP insurance is included) per occurrence except as outlined under limited coverage. There is no limit, however, if vehicle incurs loss or damage as outlined below under losses not covered. VIP: In addition to the reduction in the damage deductible, VIP also covers incurred expenses of up to $250/day in the event of a mechanical breakdown of the vehicle which requires more than 12 hours to repair. Mechanical breakdown does not include malfunction of the radio, cassette, CD, TV, VCR, DVD, air conditioner(s), generator,

refrigerator, cruise control or breakdown due to accident, whether or not the Renter is at fault.

Traveland RV Rentals is not responsible for any additional refund over and above $250/day per vehicle If mechanically broken down, meaning vehicle is not drivable. Included expenses can consist of hotel charges, car rental or any other incidental or consequential cost in the event of a breakdown to a maximum of $250/day per vehicle.

All insurance coverage is VOID if all loss and damage (REGARDLESS OF HOW IT HAPPENED) is not reported immediately to police and to TRAVELAND RV RENTALS. All claims must be submitted with a complete written drivers report.
