The Liebert PowerSure ProActive combines the
advantages of line-interactive style technology with
the economy of an off-line UPS. It protects against
more adverse power conditions than any unit in
its class... including:

• Buck and Boost Voltage Correction boosts
input sags as low as 25% (27% for 230V) from
nominal and bucks input overvoltages as high as
23% (18% for 230V) from nominal without using
the battery system. Approximately 87% of sags
and overvoltages fall into this range, allowing
ProActive to offer substantial battery conservation
over competitive technologies.
Surges
• Automatic Overload Protection continually
monitors the UPS load, preventing inadvertent
shutdown during emergency situations and keeping
run time optimized. Most other UPS brands only
notify of an overload condition when a test is run
or when the unit switches to battery — potentially
too late. The battery can drain too fast to allow
shutdown, or will simply drop the load it should
be protecting.

The PowerSure ProActive product family offers
mini-tower power protection in 350VA, 470VA and
700VA sizes. Available in both ll5V and 230V, the
ProActive is frequency auto sensing (50Hz or 60Hz).
It offers cost-effective power protection for PCs,
point-of-sale systems, networks and other sensitive
equipment by providing five or more minutes of
battery back-up, typical, at full load.
• Full-Sequence Battery Testing ensures that
your battery is emergency-ready: both the
14-day automatic test and a single-push manual
test provide comprehensive analysis of your
battery and system.
The innovative design of the UPS takes off-line
(stepped-wave) technology and adds automatic
voltage regulation (AVR or “buck and boost”). It
protects against over and under voltages by raising
or lowering utility power to the right level for
sensitive equipment — all without transfer to battery.
Greater uptime is assured with intelligent power
management, full-sequence, single-touch battery
testing and two-level overload protection. A choice of
communications options is also available to keep you
in touch with the operation of your PowerSure
ProActive UPS.
Battery tests on some units from other manufacturers
are only performed as long as the user holds the test
button. This means an incomplete test may be run as
a result of a short push — or a battery-draining test if
the user continues to hold the button for too
long a time.

ProActive UPS
Data-line surge suppression safeguards modem,
fax, phone, answering machine, network and
communications equipment, handling RJ-11,
RJ-12 and RJ-45 connectors.
Lightning and surge protection that conforms to
IEEE/ANSI C62.41 (IEEE 587) Category A (120V) for
surge suppression; IEC 801-5 level 3 (230V).
Dual, full-time filtering of electrical noise and
transients. EMI and RFI filtering improves power
quality to connected equipment during normal
operation, meeting FCC (Part 15, Class B) (120V);
EN55022 Class B (230V) standards.
Two-year warranty with optional extensions to
five years. Liebert’s standard two-year warranty
ensures repair or replacement of your UPS if it
experiences problems during the warranty period.
Liebert will ship a replacement unit in order to get
your system power back on-line as soon as possible.
Our warranty extension program allows you to add up
to three years to your original warranty, for up to five
years of full protection.
Micro POD Output Distribution and
Maintenance Bypass Module. When your computer
system can’t be without power, even for scheduled UPS
maintenance, Liebert Micro POD (Power Output
Distribution) ensures continuous uptime. It allows you
to manually transfer connected equipment to utility
power via a maintenance bypass switch, permitting
scheduled service or UPS replacement without
power disruption.

COMMUNICATIONS CAPABILITIES
THAT KEEP YOU IN CONTROL
Standard Communications. Built-in status indicators
and controls are easy to read and operate. LEDs indicate
normal, out-of-spec, and battery operation. An audible
alarm sounds a warning when the battery is discharging
or when input voltage is outside the limits of UPS
operation. Also included as standard is a communications
interface, making the PowerSure ProActive ready to
communicate with your PC or workstations using
SiteNet 1 or MultiLink communications software.
• SiteNet® 1. UPS monitoring and shutdown software
prevents unexpected server shutdowns by
automatically monitoring UPS activity and closing
down protected nodes if utility power remains off.
• SiteNet® MultiLink. Power surveillance and shutdown
management software works with your UPS to provide a
simple, easy-to-configure computer protection
solution in multi-platform, networked environments.
The ProActive’s communications port seamlessly
integrates with MultiLink software (available free at
www.Liebert.com) offering data protection for one or
many computers. The cable needed for connection
ships with the UPS.
