Duesseldorf Main Station:
• leave main station towards Konrad–Adenauer–Platz (square in front of main station)
• tramstop Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main station), platform 7
• tramline 707 towards Universität
This line runs every ten minutes during the week, on weekends at least every twenty minutes.
• exit: end of line, Universität–Ost/Botanischer Garten (ca. 25 minutes)
Suburban railway (S–Bahnen):
• S8, S11 or S28 to D–Bilk, leave the train station to reach the tram/bus stops, then:
– either: tramline 707 towards Universität
exit: end of line, Universität–Ost/Botanischer Garten
– or: busline 835 (towards Holthausen or Reisholz, runs every 20 minutes) or busline 836
(towards Universität Sued, runs every 20 minutes)
exit: Universität Mitte
• S1, S6 or S7 to D–Hauptbahnhof (main station, see above)
Bus– and Tramstops at the university:
The mathematical department is located in the building 25.22., see also the map.

• Universität Ost/Botanischer Garten: From the tram stop follow the path past the building
with the greenhouses on top on the left side. After about 100m there are the buildings labled with
25.xx on the left hand side.
• Universität Mitte: From the station follow the path between the building and the pond. Go past
the library. On the right hand side there are the buildings labled with 25.xx.
Travel by car:
• A46 from the east: Take exit Zentrum/Universität, at the traffic light turn left into the
Universitätsstraße. Follow it through a wide curve up to parkig lot 25 (natural sciences).
• A46 from the west: Right behind the bridge over the rhine take the exit Bilk, then immediately
keep to the right and follow the sign towards the university. Follow the freeway (Münchner Straße) to the first exit (Universität), there leave directly and at the traffic light turn right into the
Universitätsstraße. Follow it to parking lot 25 (natural sciences).
