Kevin Presents: ELEC 2501 PASS (15 minutes)
Since I’ll be your PASS facil for the rest of the semester (and for ELEC 2507), let’s get to know each other a bit!
Divider Race (20 minutes)
We’re really gonna get into current and voltage dividers by acting as volts and amps!
Did you Know Circuits? (20 minutes)
Your team will be assigned one of 8 circuit elements (resistor, dependent/independent voltage/current source,
open circuit, short circuit). You will compile all of your knowledge about that circuit element
and become experts of that element. You’ll then learn about the other elements
from members on other teams.
Resistor Reduction (20 minutes)
In pairs, you’ll design a set of resistors that can be reduced to a certain value. You’ll
then trade circuits with another group and reduce that new circuit to a single
resistor!
I Want to Throw Paper at Kevin (10 minutes)
On a piece of paper, write down what you’d like to get out of my PASS workshops\why you attended the
workshop, as well as at least 1 thing you’d like to see again\would prefer not to do in future workshops.
