OUTDOOR EDUCATION Our program is a multi-disciplined, hands-on approach that can reinforce all aspects of classroom learning. Outdoor education is a means of curriculum enrichment through outdoor experiences that helps to rekindle the urge to learn back in the classroom. Our program is based upon the YMCA of the USA’s ICARE outdoor education program. ICARE stands for interrelationships, cycles, awareness, relationships, & energy flow. The ICARE program meets the Standard Course of Study for 4th to 6th grades for social studies & science for many states. SCHOOL GROUPS We can work with you to craft a wonderful outing, whether you’re looking for a fun day of games and activities in the outdoors, or a more structured curriculum focusing on the environment, teambuilding, or another subject of your choosing. With our cabins, we also have the ability to house guests for overnight and multi-day programs. Let our 500 acres of forest, trails, waterfront and fields be your classroom for the day.
