R 4000 Modular shelving system
R 4000 – the multi-talented shelving system
The versatility of the R 4000
modular shelving system makes it
particularly suitable for individual
storeroom layouts, since it can be
extended to maximise the available
space. The strong high-grade steel
construction with securely located
base and top shelves and full-height
uprights offer simple assembly and
ease of handling.
With shelving adjustable in increments of 53 mm, the system is
particularly suitable for storing
small and medium sized items.
The R 4000 shelving system can
easily be reconfigured to create
countless variations and can also
be converted to a multi-tier installation with mezzanines.
The modular shelving systems
including mezzanine platforms have
been given the test certificate to
display the “GS” sign according to
the guidelines for storage facilities
and devices BGR 234 (formerly
ZH 1/428).

The R 4000 modular shelving
system is an extendible, bolt-free
design available in bay widths of
995 and 1283 mm.
The shelving bays consist of base
and top shelves with full-height
uprights. All parts are simply locked
together.
As the R 4000 consists of very
few components, the system can
be quickly and easily erected.
Each additional extension bay
is then attached to the adjacent
bay using the same principle.
All starter and top shelves are
clipped together.
In order to stabilise the shelving
longitundinally, a cross brace must
be fitted to the first and every third
bay thereafter.

end section is firmly located against

Sectional centre panels
Galvanised sheet steel. Also available
painted for starter and end bays. Side
panels are clipped between the corner
uprights, or between the corner and centre
uprights in the case of double units, and
then locked into the four recesses provided
on each side.
Two matching pairs of side panels are
required for double units 600, 800 or
1000 mm deep.
Sheet steel, painted silver. The 2 halves of
the back panel are of different heights, and
are secured to the lugs in the uprights with
spring clips. The folded edges forming the
centre joint are bolted together.
Galvanised sheet steel. For central mounting in double shelving. Assembly between
the centre uprights. Cannot be used without
intermediate shelves for support.

Hazardous goods storage system
Regulation with drip tray and mesh shelves for storing substances
hazardous to water conforming to WHG and flammable substances
conforming to BetrSichV (Operational Safety Ordinance) and the
substances on the positive liquid list conforming to DIN 6601.
The drip tray is securely positioned at the lowest storage level,
manufactured according to the following test principles:
• List of building regulations A, part 1, no. 15.22 edition 2002/2 of
the German Institute for Construction Engineering
• Ordinance on systems dealing substances hazardous to water and
on specialist companies (VawS)
• WHG para. 19h in combination with VawS
• Directive on the requirements for collecting containers made from
steel (StawaR)
• DIN 6600, DIN 6601, DIN 6625
Above-ground drip trays made from steel S 350 GD, welded and liquid
proof, suitable for substances with a max. density of 1000 kg/m3.
A corresponding certificate from RWTÜV has been granted. The
observation of the guidelines is documented in the tray nameplate.

Drawer dividers allow the user to fully
customise the drawer compartment.
They are fitted with plastic mountings,
which are inserted in the rows of
perforations in the fronts and sides of
the drawers. Drawer dividers enable the
drawer to be divided into compartment
widths of 451, 225 and 112 mm.
Variations in compartment depth can be
achieved using adjustable cross
dividers. Without cross dividers, the full
drawer depth is useable, and
customised drawer lengths are
available.
