For the practicals students must have with them the requirements specified as follows - white apron, white cap, rubber gloves, zero number spectacles, which are compulsory. Discarding papers and similar materials in the campus or corridor is strictly prohibited. The rules for disposal of waste papers and used chemicals are laid down which must be strictly followed. Though there is no dress code for the students, decent attire is expected. Students shall be given home assignments by respective teachers which will be considered as an integral part of sessional practical examination. Attendance for guest lectures will be compulsory. Students will have to undergo one medical examination as per University procedure. Students are neither allowed to sit on the steps, fence walls or loiter in the corridor and campus nor sit in the canteen during college hours. Loud talking near and around Principal’s cabin, library and staff room shall be punishable. Use of cell phones in the college premises is strictly prohibited. III) GRANT OF TERM & MODALITIES OF ATTENDANCE If any student completes less than 80% theory & practicals then term will not be granted to such students and he/she will not be allowed to fill up the University exam form & will have to take admission next year with full fees. 2. Attendance of students will be calculated from first day of academic year commencement till the last instructional day. 3. Each student should attend at least 80% of theory lectures and 80% of practical turns. Attendance criteria is applicable to each student to be eligible for sessional and University exam. Attendance is considered for individual subject. 4. Late entry in the class room or laboratory of more than 5 minutes will be treated as absentee and no concession will be given for such cases during final calculation of attendance. 5. There is no provision for additional sessional examination for improvement of performance for regular students. 6. All types of competitive exams, sickness, family problems, and other valid medical reasons must be within the 20% absenteeism from the university. 7. Guardian teacher (GT) may consider the validity of the reason and exempt the student maximum up to 2 days provided he has kept the attendance not less than 80%. 8. If the student is absent for 3 days without informing the college, the GT would send SMS to the parents at the earliest as per the attendance monitoring model. 9. If the student is absent for continuous 7 days, the sms will be followed by phone call to the parents indicating the warning about the disciplinary action. 10. If some student fails to attend the college without informing for a period of 7-10 days his admission will be suspended. 11. The student and parents are hereby informed to note that such suspension of admission may cause the loss of term or year. 1. IV) MODALITIES OF EXAMINATION (Annual + Semester Pattern) The passing percentage marks for theory are 40% and for practical 45%. The passing head is theory and practical together. (Aggregate not less than 50%.) Individual passing in Practical and theory is compulsory. In case if a student fails in the theory he / she has to re-appear for the theory only and vice - versa. Student with a certified Journal will only be eligible for practical examination. Any kind of unfair means during practical or theory examination is prohibited. Practical sessional examination will be conducted during regular schedule of the respective subject slot as per routine time table. However, for theory sessional examination separate time table would be notified in advance. V) MODALITIES OF EXAMINATION (Annual Pattern) There will be three sessional exams conducted during the academic year for theory as well as practicals, each of twenty marks. Sessional + Annual = Total marks in each subject head = 20 + 80 = 100 Attendance to all the three sessional exams is compulsory. VI) MODALITIES OF EXAMINATION (Semester Pattern) Each Semester will consist of a minimum of 15 weeks instructions. There will be only one sessional examination of 30 marks conducted in each semester as per the examination scheme prescribed by UoP. The time schedule for theory sessional examination will be 1 hour 30 minutes. Practical sessional examination of 30 marks will be based on internal assessment of practical, day to day attendance, viva and laboratory record. Sessional + Annual =Total marks in each subject head=30+70=100 Candidate will be considered as passed the semester only when the candidate passes in the entire subject heads and obtains overall a minimum of 50% of the total aggregate marks prescribed for the semester. VII) MODALITIES OF CREDIT BASED SEMESTER SYSTEM (CBSS) For CBSS pattern In- semester assessment will be of 30 marks which include 20 marks for theory and practical sessional and 10 marks (2 x 5) for continuous assessment for theory and practical. In CBSS pattern degree will be awarded to the candidates who have passed all eight semesters. Final grade will be awarded on the basis of combined CGPA at the Semester-I to Semester VIII. On every 1st Saturday of the month parents can call up the Guardian Teacher regarding the performance of their ward and if required parents can meet the Guardian Teacher on 3rd Saturday of the month.
