Aim: As a customer and solutions led company, it is the policy of Nightsearcher
Ltd to offer environmentally innovative products and to minimise our impact
on the environment through environmentally sound business practices.
Nightsearcher Ltd based in Portsmouth, England; designs, manufactures and
supplies lighting products including searchlights, hand-lamps, floodlights,
flashlights and head-torches.
Nightsearcher Ltd aims for greater eco-efficiency in its business practices
and in support of this has documented and implemented an environmental
management system (EMS) meeting requirements of ISO 14001. The EMS
supports our commitment to continual improvement and prevention of
pollution.
Our environmental objectives are focused on:

Nightsearcher Ltd is committed to continual improvement of our environmental
performance and we will work in conjunction with our staff and supply chain

In 1989 Colin Howard, Managing Director, began
manufacturing Nightsearcher products, designing
and specialising in rechargeable lighting solutions.
These products were specifically supplied to the
Police, Fire Services and industrial markets, where
Nightsearcher has developed a high reputation for
quality and service.

PANTHER LED
The PANTHER is a powerful, robust and rechargeable searchlight,
with both long distance spotlight and local area floodlight beams.
Used for professional applications by the emergency services, utility
companies, security organisations and both military and civilian
rescue teams. It is virtually unbreakable, incorporating a toughened
lens and a shock resistant polyethylene plastic casing. Water resistant,
it can be used in all weather conditions.
The Panther LED, is a new version of the very popular Panther
Searchlight. It uses 9 CREE® XP-C LEDs, which produce a very
impressive 1,500 lumens of light, and a powerful 750 metre beam.
It has 4 modes full power, half power, flashing and strobe function
which can be used for alerting attention or disorientating an aggressor.

PANTHER LED LITE
Nightsearcher are now offering a lithium battery where the running
time will remain the same, but the weight of the product is reduced
by approximately 1.5kg.

is greatly increased, in fact it will now operate for over 5 hours on full
beam and 12 hours on half power. LEDs never need to be replaced
and have a 100,000 hour life.

PANTHER MA/BF
The rechargeable PANTHER HiD has all the benefits of the normal
PANTHER, but in addition, offers the latest technology of High Intensity
Discharge Xenon lighting. Unlike conventional filament lamps, with
HiD Xenon, the light is created by an arc of gas in a small glass sphere.
This makes the lamp more efficient and powerful, giving over 5 times
more light output than our regular PANTHER. This also produces a
much whiter, more natural light colour.
The rechargeable PANTHER MA and BF series are signalling variations
of the PANTHER. The PANTHER MA/BF is suitable for situations that
require a portable traffic signalling option, combined with a high
powered searchlight.
Operating for 2 hours per charge on main beam, the PANTHER HiD
also has a secondary lower level light, using a powerful 3W Luxeon
Star LED; fitted with a special lens for a concentrated beam. This will
operate in excess of 11 hours per charge and has a 100,000 hour life.
The PANTHER HiD is powered by a Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack
(Ni-MH), these batteries are much lighter when compared to sealed
lead acid batteries, and can be recharged at any state of discharge
without any risk of memory effect.

The rechargeable PUMA is a lightweight and smaller version of its
big brother the PANTHER. It has similar capabilities, but in a more
compact size. It is used for professional applications by emergency
services, utility companies, security organisations, and both military

and a shock resistant polyethylene plastic case. It can be used in all
weather conditions.

An adaptation of the standard PUMA, the PUMA-LITE is supplied with
a lightweight Ni-MH battery. This reduces the total weight to just 1.37
Kgs, 35% less than the standard PUMA. The higher capacity battery
also increases the running time by an additional 20 minutes operating
for 1.5hrs on full power.
The PUMA-LITE has a LED indicator to signal the battery status and
can be charged at any state of discharge without damaging the
battery.
For forensic applications this searchlight can be fitted with a diffused
filter, or you can connect the “LATENT-LITE” for detecting fingerprints.

PUMA CB
The PUMACB is a specially modified version of the PUMA. This version
can be used with the vehicle charging/mounting bracket.
The LATENT-LITE is manufactured by
Nightsearcher and developed in partnership
with the Directorate of Forensic Services of
the Metropolitan Police at New Scotland Yard,
London.
The LATENT-LITE is intended for forensic
applications and is designed in conjunction with
the PUMA-LITE. Supplied with a jack plug, it can
be connected and operate from various power
sources (see optional extras).

The rechargeable NS750 is a versatile and powerful searchlight. Using
a 50W halogen bulb it offers a one mile spot beam and a secondary
10W halogen work light.
It has a detachable head with coiled lead, rocker switch, spot
lens and lens protecting rim. The head is manufactured in tough
polypropylene plastic, making it virtually unbreakable. The powerpack
is manufactured from light weight aluminium and finished in tough

TRIO
The Trio is Nightsearcher’s best selling, environmentally friendly,
rechargeable hand-lamp. Its 3 ultra-bright LEDs produce a 300

The SOLARIS LITE is the most compact and portable floodlight
in the Solaris range. Its new ergonomic design makes the
unit easier to transport and position, therefore appealing to a
multitude of industries. Purchased by the automotive sector to
the emergency services to the railways and even film crews,
this compact light can infiltrate most places where generators
fail. There are no hazardous trailing leads or noise pollution to
contend with.
What would be a two person job in order to manoeuvre a
generator or other lighting method, the SOLARIS LITE would
only require one member. Consequently this will save time and
money, which is valuable to any business.
With advancing technology, the SOLARIS LITE can be equipped
with an emergency function whereby in the event of a power
cut, whilst charging, the unit will automatically illuminate.

SOLARIS RANGE
LED PORTABLE RECHARGEABLE AREA LIGHTING SYSTEM
The Solaris Range is Nightsearcher’s new generation of portable rechargeable
lighting systems. The newly designed head, fitted with 18 LEDs, offers individual optics
per LED to maximise light coverage and minimise glare.
Available in a range of sizes to suit all applications, the largest unit generates an
incredible 24,000 lumens spread over 100m. These LED floodlights are a safe alternative
to halogen based equipment.
Each of the range offers HIGH/LOW/FLASHING options and is designed to pulse
every 30 seconds when the battery is running low. It comes with a red “stand by” LED
allowing the user to locate the lamp when not in use.
Supplied and incorporated in a specialist robust outdoor case, which is covered by
an unlimited lifetime guarantee. The Solaris complete system can be assembled
within seconds.

With the continual advancements in LEDs, Nightsearcher have
designed and developed an unrivalled light source, incorporating
our new SOLARIS light head. Nightsearcher are proud to present the
future of LED lighting, the SOLARIS 6K.
This breakthrough in LED technology means an end to relying on
fragile halogen or fluorescent sources. The SOLARIS 6K is able to
flood huge areas with white, shadow free light. By changing over to
this advanced technology, companies could save up to 3,000 tons
of CO2 a year* whilst offering a more reliable floodlight in terms of
durability and safety.
Our unique combination of high power LEDs and optics allow the
beam to cover more distance and perform at 6,000 lumens (per head)
on high and 3,000 lumens on low, giving an extended running time
making it ideal for a range of applications such as Rail maintenance/
inspections, sporting events…
The SOLARIS range, including the SOLARIS 6K head, is safe, cool

Storage Trunk
The power pack case is very robust and made from polyethylene
plastic. It uses a sealed lead acid battery (optional Ni-MH available)
and is available in 2 sizes, 12V 24 A/h and 12V 38 A/h. It has green,
amber and red LED battery status indicators and will flash red when
the battery gets too low and needs recharging. It also has 2 input/
output sockets. These allow the user various options, i.e:

MEGASTAR
The MEGASTAR is the most powerful portable
rechargeable floodlight in our fluorescent range, it
uses 4x36W fluorescent tubes giving a light output
equivalent to a 1000W tungsten light. It can be
switched between high and low light levels. This unit
is supplied complete with a light head, extendable
tripod, 12V 24A/h or 38A/h power pack and an
intelligent mains charger.
The robust, lightweight aluminium tripod has double
extending safety locking sections, that can be
secondarily secured using the attached locking
pins. The tripod locks into the powerpack utilising the
weight of the powerpack to give stability to the light
and tripod. The MEGASTAR is suitable for emergency
services, military, construction and maintenance sites,
sports events and other temporary lighting needs.

use with our flexible solar panels. The charge controller ensures the
battery is charged correctly and protects the battery from overcharge, over-discharge and over-load.

INVERTERS
Our inverters convert low voltage direct current (DC) power from a car
outlet or battery into alternating current (AC) this is the power required
by most power tools and home appliances. The DC input is either 12V
or 24V and the AC output is 230V 50Hz or 110V 60 Hz.
Our Inverters are classified as Pure Sine Wave (PS) or Modified Sine
Wave (MS).
Modified Sine Wave
Modified sine wave inverters can adequately power most household
appliances and power tools. They are much more economical, but
may present certain compromises with sensitive equipment.

Pure Sine Wave
Pure sine wave output Inverters, are designed to emulate the power
supply you have in your home and are the best type for powering
any sensitive equipment such as computers, digital clocks, battery
chargers, motors, sound systems, surveillance video, and audio/visual
equipment.
How to decide on the model required.
Check the appliance output (watts), and then correlate this to an
inverter capable of giving you the equivalent or more in continuous
power output. There are some products where the initial start up may
consume a greater amount of power than the running power and
therefore a larger inverter will be required.

are designed to withstand temperatures
ranging from -40°C up to +80°C. The outdoor
cases are stackable, watertight (to a depth
of 5 metres), dustproof, chemical resistant
and corrosion proof. They are also crack
proof (dropped from a height of 3 meters to a
concrete floor) and virtually indestructible.

and HeadTorches to meet the increased demands for use in hazardous
and potentially explosive areas. This new range offers complete zone
coverage for zones 1 and 2 with a selection approved for zone 0 use.
