Registering for Restraint and Seclusion Training Course Name: LEAD1101.4 - Promoting Positive Behavior in Schools Instructions: By following the 13 steps below, you will be able to successfully register and begin your online course to meet the state-required Restraint and Seclusion Training (Section 6 (1) of 704 KAR 7:160). Screenshots have been included to help you through the registration process. STEP 1: Please type in the following web address to create your online training account: http://www.pbs.org/teacherline/login/ STEP 2: At the PBS TeacherLine main login page, please click on “create an account for free.” This will allow you to create an account and register for the course. STEP 3: At the new user registration page, please fill in all the blanks and click Submit. STEP 4: Once you have completed the initial account registration process, you will need to click on your name in the top right corner (next to Logout) to complete your online profile to continue the registration process. STEP 5: Fill in all the blanks and click Submit. HELPFUL TIP: When you get to the School Information section, it is easier to skip the Name section and enter the Zip/Postal Code. Once you type in the Zip Code (40359), the Owen County School District and each school will automatically show up in the dropdown list. Please be careful and make sure to select Owen County School District to continue completing your profile. NOTE: Owen County Public Library shows up in this list as well. So, be careful. STEP 6: Once you have finished completing your online profile, you will be able to register for the course (LEAD 1101.4 Promoting Positive Behavior in Schools). STEP 7: Click on “New Self-Paced Courses” in the Menu Bar. STEP 8: Click on the Details/Enroll button under the “LEAD 1101.4 Promoting Positive Behavior in Schools” course name. It should be the very first course listed. STEP 9: Click on Enroll. STEP 10: At the Course Shopping Cart, you will need to place a check in the box to accept the terms of service. Once you have done this, you will need to click the Checkout button. STEP 11: At the Review Your Order screen, you will click the Finish button. STEP 12: At the Thank You for Your Order screen, you will click the Go To My Courses button. STEP 13: A list of the courses you have enrolled in will be listed under the My Courses section. If you click on the course link, (LEAD 1101.4 Promoting Positive Behavior in Schools), it will take you into the course and you may begin Module 1. Final Instructions: You will need to complete all 4 modules. Once you have completed Module 1 and completed the review, it will open up Module 2. Therefore, the next module will open once you have completed the previous module. At the end of your course, you will need to print out the online certificate and submit to your principal.
