Congratulations for choosing a Hunter® Air Purifier. We highly recommend
that you operate the air purifier 24 hours a day, because indoor air can
be quickly contaminated by activity or objects in a room and infiltration of
outside air. Portable air purifiers are much more efficient in rooms where all
windows and doors are closed.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS! READ AND SAVE ALL
INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS AIR PURIFIER.
WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
• Read all instructions before operating the air purifier
• Place the air purifier where it is not easily knocked over.
• ALWAYS unplug the air purifier when not in use.
• DO NOT use any product with a damaged cord or plug, or if product malfunctions,
is dropped, or is damaged in any manner. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its services agent, or similar qualified persons in order
to avoid hazard.
• Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
• DO NOT use this air purifier outdoors.
• NEVER use the air purifier unless it is fully assembled.
• DO NOT run power cord under carpet or throw rug. Arrange cord so that it will
not be tripped over.
• DO NOT use air purifier where combustible gases or vapors are present.
• DO NOT expose the air purifier to rain, use near water, in a bathroom, laundry
area, or any damp location.
• To disconnect the air purifier, first turn speed to OFF position and remove plug

• DO NOT allow foreign objects to enter ventilation or exhaust opening, as this
may cause electric shock or damage to the air purifier. DO NOT block air outlets
or intakes.
• Place air purifier near a power outlet, and avoid using an extension cord.
• A loose fit between the plug and the AC outlet (receptacle) may cause overheating and
distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn receptacles.
• DO NOT sit, stand or place heavy objects on the air purifier.
• ALWAYS disconnect power supply before servicing.
• DO NOT use this product with any solid-state speed control device.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, this product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other) as a safety feature. This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat or override this safety feature.

REPLACING THE FILTER:
The usable life of a HEPAtech filter is approximately 4 months
depending on the level of contaminants in the room and the
frequency of use. The HEPAtech filter will turn medium brown
and air volume will begin to decrease dramatically when the
filter needs to be changed. You should have a spare filter
available for later replacement.
The HEPAtech filter is specifically designed for easy
replacement to provide maximum performance.
THE FILTERS ARE NOT WASHABLE.
