The recording and transmission of binary information (such as
switching states), and the switching of devices and lighting,
are functions that are frequently required in non-residential
and residential buildings. The N 502 combi switch actuator offers these two applications together in a single innovative
device.
In its delivery state, each input of each switchover function affects the output of the same name. For this reason, if a conventional momentary contact switch or several parallel
switches are connected, the respective output can be
switched over at each pushbutton actuation. You can use the
pushbutton at the top of the device to specify if the respective
output is to operate as a remote control switch or as a time
switch (with adjustable ON period that can be set over the
same pushbutton). The N 502 therefore supports use without
a bus connection and in conventional installations.
Using Engineering Tool Software (ETS), in a KNX installation,
the inputs and outputs of the N 502 combi switch actuator can
be freely parameterized and used for any function as usual.
