Illumination
• Photoluminescent Exit Signs should be used in well-lit areas
• Photoluminescent letters and chevrons work by having a fixture illuminated at a minimum of
5 foot candles from the exit sign.
• When the lights go out, the exit sign will glow in the dark with visibility from 75 feet away.
