Accreditations
All Ponte Giulio products comply with and are registered as “Class 1 medical devices” according
to MOD 2007/47/CE.
All Ponte Giulio products have been manufactured to be non-toxic, self extinguishing and to not
irritate the skin.
The CE mark means that those products are allowed free circulation within the European market
and there is therefore a compulsory requirement to allow products to cross the European frontiers.
With the aim to independently test the reliability of fittings and security systems all PONTE GIULIO
grab bars and supporting rail series have been subjected to TÜV product service testing.
The results confirm that the products comply with the standard UNI EN 12182:2012.
BioCote
The vinyl coating of Ponte Giulio grab bars feature the built in BioCote® anti microbial technology,
this is based on silver ions and provides continuous surface protection against a wide range of
microbes including surface degrading or staining bacteria and mold, for the expected lifetime of the
product. For more information see page 4.
The products are manufactured with recycled materials and are then recyclable and reusable at a
different percentage depending on the item. For more information see page 5.
Guarantee
Ponte Giulio has a lifetime guarantee that all its own products will be free of any manufacturing
defects; please refer to the limited warranty policy, available upon request. Ponte Giulio requires
that any claim against the warranty be made in writing and reserves the right to evaluate the defect
and cause before activating the guarantee.

Ponte Giulio offers ADA washroom accessories, designed in Italy
to have style and a non-institutional appearance. We offer colored

The Power of silver
BioCote® silver ion antimicrobial technology is
incorporated as an agent into products at the time
of manufacture, giving their surfaces protection
against a broad spectrum of microbes.

Even in the cleanest of environments, microbes, such
as bacteria, mold and fungi, will begin to multiply on
surfaces in-between cleaning, causing a build-up of
grime and odor.
BioCote Ltd is leading the way in proven antimicrobial
surface protection.
BioCote® technology gives products continuous antimicrobial protection against a broad spectrum of microbes
including bacteria, mold and fungi.
BioCote® technology inhibits microbial growth on the surface of products, helping to reduce unpleasant odors,
degradation or deterioration.
Protection
All BioCote® protected products are validated and quality
control tested to ISO 22196:2007 where applicable, in an
independent laboratory. Only products that reduce microbial levels by up to 95% are allowed to use the BioCote®
brand as a guarantee of superior antimicrobial product protection.
BioCote Ltd understands the need for antimicrobial products to be as effective in-situ as in a laboratory test and is
leading the way in developing a sound evidence base to
show how BioCote® protected products can reduce levels
of microbial contamination on surfaces in real-life environments.
Silver is a natural, yet powerful antimicrobial that has
been used for many centuries for its abilities to aid
preservation.

CARING FOR THE
ENVIRONMENT
PONTE GIULIO cares about environmental
protection and the effects caused by the
transformation of the materials used in the
production of its products.
In order to pursue this goal, Ponte Giulio
carefully selects materials which have a low
impact on the environment, from the raw
materials and their transformation, to the
manufacturing of a product, its disposal and
the possibility of reusing the products.
For each item, a percentage of recycled and
recyclable material is determined and stated
in terms of weight. In order to increase this
percentage, Ponte Giulio encourages its customers to limit the amount of waste and gives
them the option of replacing damaged parts
using reclaimed products. Thus, Ponte Giulio
products are not only recyclable but even
reusable (*).
The respect for environment is not only
achieved with “green” action but mainly
through a definite way of thinking by the
company’s management and employees.
Ponte Giulio operates a thorough waste separation scheme. The raw materials and other
substances used for production are chosen in
order to provide both incredibly high quality
for the final product and to guarantee the
least possible impact on human beings and
the environment.
Controls such as emissions in the atmosphere, are thoroughly carried out and our
suppliers are selected for sharing our attitude
and vision.
In order to render this approach objective and
visible, Ponte Giulio has conformed to the
environmental standards set by UNI EN ISO
14001 “Environmental management systems”.

What are the benefits of using colored and coated safety products?
Superior non-slip surface. One misconception is that a knurled surface provides the best grip. For knurling to work effectively
you have to have a strong enough grip for the skin on your hand to press into the valleys of the knurling. The clients that are
most apt to need a grab bar may not have the hand strength to make it effective. Our polyamide surface coating acts like a set
of brakes either wet or dry.
Option to include color. From a practical stand point we have introduced color so that you can create a contrast against the
wall color so clients can visually locate the bars and seats. Color also gives your design team freedom to create unique and noninstitutional environments.
No Oxidation. Every metal, even the finest quality stainless steel will oxidize over time. A once brilliant finish will fade. Our steel
core coated surface remains fresh and attractive year after year of service.
Soft and warm. In reality the surface temperature of our coated grab bars is the same as any metallic grab bar. Physics actually plays a trick on the body and your perception of cold and warm. With metallic bars when your hand touches the surface the
metal pulls the heat from your body and the perception is cold. Our polyamide surface does not conduct heat so when your hand
touches the surface if reflects back the heat from your hand and your body perceived it to be warm.
No electrostatic charge. The furthest thing from your mind when specifying a grab bar or seat could be electrocution. Our 2.5
mm thick coated surface insulates the frame of the grab bar so regardless of how electricity might be introduced, through the
wall or from an appliance in the bathroom the charge will not conduct through our safety equipment.
Installation. Our mounting flange is equipped with an 11 hole design. This is a small detail, but for the installer it gives them the
flexibility to choose the mounting holes that are least invasive to the wall and find the wall stud for a secure and safe installation.
Team spirit. We are capable of manufacturing any color. Create one of a kind bathrooms for universities, schools or match company colors.
