SureCross™ Wireless I/O Network
SureCross™, Banner’s new wireless I/O network, is a
reliable, easy-to-use remote I/O system you can integrate
with your existing equipment, and then expand and
relocate as needed. With an incredible range of up to
three miles and an IP67-rated sealed housing, you can
access hard-to-reach locations where conduit may not
be practical. SureCross accommodates digital and analog
inputs and outputs in a single unit and offers a choice
of 10 to 30V dc line power or a FlexPower™ system that
can supply a dc sensor, I/O module and radio for up to
five years of run time through a single battery. SureCross
is offered at both 900 MHz band for North American
installations and 2.4 GHz band to meet international
requirements. It uses Frequency Hopping Spread
Spectrum (FHSS) technology to improve reliability, so
many systems can coexist in the same physical space
without interference.

D10 Series Fiber Optic Amplifiers
Wireless Tank
Level Monitoring
D10 series high-performance fiber optic amplifiers are
designed for use with plastic fibers and available in three
styles to solve the most diverse range of application
requirements. Choose from models with either dualdiscrete outputs (NPN or PNP), one discrete and
one analog output (voltage or current) or bipolar
single-channel discrete output. D10 series fiber
sensors feature a visible red or green sensing
beam and are available in Expert™ models
that offer high-performance low-contrast
sensing with automatic TEACH options.

Bottle
Detection
Cap Presence
The new WORLD-BEAM® QS30 H2O
opposed-mode sensors detect water
or water-based material in clear,
frosted, or even opaque packaging.
When a bottle is clear, the highpower 1450 nm infrared beam
creates high contrast between
the water and a bottle, allowing
the beam to easily detect the
presence of water. When the
bottle is colored, decorated
or opaque, the sensing beam
can be paired with high excess gain to penetrate through the bottle while
still allowing for accurate water detection. Models are available with a 2 m
range or with high gain and an extended range of 4 m.
The new water sensors feature the popular WORLD-BEAM housing with
30 mm threaded lens or side mount. All models have an extra-large output
indicator and two status indicators visible from 360 degrees. Rated to IP67;
NEMA 6 the sensors withstand 1200 psi washdowns.

The S18U is an 18 mm barrel-style ultrasonic sensor, available with pushbutton TEACH programming
either on the housing or
by a remote line. The S18U,
which has a sensing range of
30 to 300 mm, is unaffected
by target color. It has bright
diagnostic LEDs on the housing,
is available in a straight or rightangle model, and has options for
mounting hardware. The rugged
housing is environmentally rated
IP67 and NEMA 6.
EZ-LIGHT™ Smart Indicator Lights

Inspection
EZ-LIGHT™ indicators are water and oil-tight sealed units with colored lights that
indicate the status of a machine or process.
EZ-LIGHT indicators replace difficult-to-manage
panel indicators and post and stack lights with a
single, compact unit rated up to IP69K. EZ-LIGHT’s
rugged solid-state design means that there are no
bulbs to burn out or replace. Models are currently
available in seven configurations for a variety of
applications. A choice of 30 or 50 mm dome, 18 mm
barrel, or 8, 18 and 30 mm T-style housing styles are
available.

PresencePLUS® P4 EDGE
The PresencePLUS® P4 EDGE vision sensors are designed
for high-speed inspection and error-proofing applications.
The P4 EDGE standard resolution model (128 x 100)
accurately senses and analyses faster than 10,000 parts
per minute. The high-resolution EDGE 1.3 model (1280 x
1024 pixels) provides detailed inspections of large areas
at speeds up to 1,200 parts per minute. Ideal for validating
the height, width, location and edge of materials, the P4
EDGE measures the fill level of liquid in bottles in highspeed plants and verifies that bottle caps are completely
on and correctly positioned. The P4 EDGE is easy to set
up and includes remote TEACH function for inspection
changeovers without a PC or shutting down a production
line. This sensor delivers maximum throughput at a competitive price.
PresencePLUS® P4 Bar Code Reader
The PresencePLUS® P4 BCR is an easy-to-use, low-cost
solution for reading 2D and 1D bar codes, using
industry standard bar code metrics and grading. The
P4 BCR can read Data Matrix (ECC200); and linear bar
codes EAN-13 (supports UPC-A), EAN-8, Code 39,
Code 128, Codabar and interleaved 2 of 5. Remote
TEACH allows simple push-button inspection
changeovers on-the-line without a PC. The P4 BCR
is available in right-angle or in-line optics with a
wide variety of lighting and lens options.
Additional Banner P4 sensors include the
P4 GEO and GEO 1.3, for performing full
360-degree inspections, regardless of product orientation; the EDGE and EDGE 1.3, for
validating height and width of parts, locating labels and detecting the edges of materials
such as plastic or paper on a continuous web; and the AREA and AREA 1.3, for inspecting
presence and shape of defined areas and shapes and shades of colors by combining
BLOB and Gray Scale tools to analyze images.
