INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT READ BEFORE INSTALLING:
DO NOT CONNECT TO MAINS POWER DIRECTLY - This product is only suitable for use
with SELV drivers only.
IN THE BOX:
BLS® manufactures a range of SELV LED drivers to support this product, and can provide advice on a
range of approved third party alternative products. Warranty may be effected by the use of alternatives not
approved by BLS® directly.
• End caps rotate into tombstone using finger wheel.
• A flat face is provided on the hub, for use with a small spanner where the fixture is tight.
• A decorative cover is provided to dress over the T5 end caps. (Optional).
• Decorative cover is not required to ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 or AS/NZS 3820.

INSTRUCTIONS:
• Ensure the fitting is disconnected from the mains prior to re-wiring the fixture.
• Check for damage or signs of ageing with the existing end caps and replace if necessary.
• Disconnect the ballast and starter from the circuit.
WARRANTY
The LED tube is provided with a five year warranty to L85 where EF chip is specified or five years to L70
where UT is specified. All drivers supplied with products carry a three year warranty unless an additional
warranty period is provided in the terms and conditions and sales contract supplied.
• Remove fluorescent from circuit to meet EECA COC requirements.
• Replace fluorescent ballast with LED driver, maintaining existing fused connector and replace with
0.5A fuse if required.
• Connect the Live (+) & Neutral (–) as per illustration on the right, ensuring all electrical work is in line with
AS/NZS 3000.
NOTE: END CAPS THAT ARE DAMAGED AND OTHER POOR CONNECTIONS WITHIN THE
CIRCUIT MAY PRESENT A FIRE HAZARD, CAUSE DAMAGE AND OR VOID THE PRODUCT
WARRANTY. PLEASE CHECK THE FITTINGS CAREFULLY AND ENSURE SOUND CONNECTION
PRIOR TO ENERGISING THE LAMP.
• Dispose of waste materials responsibly – recycling leaky fluorescent tubes and drivers at a suitable facility.
• Once the light fitting has been adapted correctly and in line with these instructions BLS® accepts
responsibility for luminaire compliance. Multiple tubes may be connected in series in line with AS/NZS
and providing they do not breach 0.5A max.
