English IV (English literature). Math 3 Units Science 3 Units Limited to Algebra I, Algebra II, geometry, trigonometry/precalculus, math analysis, calculus, AP statistics, or any math course with content and/or rigor above Algebra I and approved for college admission. Students who enter ninth grade with high school math credits must earn at least three additional math credits during grades 9-12 to fulfill this requirement. It is highly suggested that college bound students take one unit of computer technology to avoid remedial placement at the university level. High School Graduation (HB 3218) In order to graduate, students entering the 9th grade prior to, or during the 2016-2017 school year must participate in the Oklahoma State Testing Program (OSTP). Students entering the 9th grade during or after the 2017-2018 school year will be subject to the assessment system adopted by the State Board of Education in order to graduate. The highest-achieved score on the assessment or assessments will be reflected on the student’s transcript. Students moving to Oklahoma from another State or students that could not participate in the state testing program (OSTP) may write a letter of appeal to the building principal requesting an alternative test be used in order to graduate from Edmond Public Schools. Tests that may replace the OSTP by appeal include: A. ACT, SAT, PSAT/NMSQT; or B. State Assessment: OSTP Grade 10; or C. Appropriate, skills-oriented assessment; or D.
