In 2011, the hospital medical staff
increased to 5 physicians and, in 2012,
two of those physicians left the
hospital’s employment. By August
2013, the hospital will have three family
practice and one internal medicine
physician, one general surgeon and one
OB/GYN who will serve Van Buren
County.
1. Tobacco use in Van Buren CountyDecrease the percentage of 11th
graders who state they have smoked
one or more cigarettes in the past 30
days from 15% in 2012 to 10% in
2016 based on the Iowa Youth Survey

County Hospital offers services
through specialty clinics and the Van
Buren Community Schools offer
