What is Home Automation?
 An automated home brings together security, fire,
lighting, temperature control, audio, home theater,
surveillance, access control, pool, spa, drapery
control, sprinklers, and anything else that you want
so that these systems can talk to each other and
work together
 An automated home can include some or all of these
components
 HAI systems focus on lighting

Installing Thermostats
• Communicate with the HVAC Contractor
•
Be Certain the HVAC contractor is “kept in the loop”: Let him know
that you are providing quality HAI thermostats that have protection
for the equipment.
•
Explain the remote control features of the HAI system, and get his
support for the installation.
•
Make every effort to coordinate thermostat installation with the HVAC
contractor. Have the manuals and tech sheet handy for him.
•
Ask the HVAC installer to use inexpensive mechanical thermostats
to ensure proper HVAC function before installing HAI thermostats.
