The fire damper consists of a rectangular housing, a damper blade and an actuating mechanism. The damper housing is made of a galvanized steel sheet with a thickness of 1,25 mm and lenght of 400 mm. Outer diameter of the casing is Ø = Øn- 2 mm. Damper blade is made of high temperature-resistant, abrasion-resistant mineral material. The blade is held by axis made of stainless steel. Casing and damper blade are airtight and smoketight. The actuating mechanism of the damper is performed by a automatic thermal release mechanism (fusible link), electric actuator or solenoid actuator. Main characteristics of damper: • Tested according to EN 1366-2 at 300 Pa • Fire classified according to EN 13501-3 • Suitable for mounting in rigid wall, flexible wall and ceiling • Operating mechanism completely outside the wall - easy installation • Maintenance free • Use as smoke damper both in absence of fire (cold smoke) and in the presence of fire (hot smoke) 350 Design changes reserved FIRE DAMPERS Standard diameters Øn[mm] 100 125 160 200 250 300 315 355 400 500 630 710 800 All other diameters are possible from Øn100 - 800 mm with pitch 10 mm. Fire classification according to EN 13501-3 Cylindrical fire damper PPZCEN is classified according to the following combinations of performance parameters and classes: Fire resistance classification in rigid wall: EI 90 (ve, i↔o)S / E 120 (ve, i↔o)S Fire resistance classification in flexible wall: EI 90 (ve, i↔o)S / E 90 (ve, i↔o)S Fire resistance classification in ceiling: EI 90 (ho, i↔o)S / E 90 (ho, i↔o)S EI 120/90 – time (min.) of meeting the requirements of integrity and insulation ve – damper installed in vertical supporting construction ho – damper installed in horizontal supporting construction (ceiling) i↔o – fire can come from either direction, confirmation of meeting the requirements with the effect of fire both from inside and outside S – confirmation on meeting the requirements on smoke tightness Damper is to be installed to the standard rigid wall, flexible wall and floor (ceiling) supporting construction (acc. to EN13662; table 3, 4 and 5). When electric actuator is connected to the power supply damper will open. When the damper reaches the end position (damper open), in which is it blocked, the electromotor will stop. Closing fire damper takes place automatically when a power failure occurs. Thermal tripping device that comes with fire damper causes power circuit break at a temperature of 72 °C (inside or outside duct). If checking is needed for proper fuctioning of fire damper pushing the switch on the thermal tripping device will close damper. When switch on tripping device is released the damper will open. switch for checking for proper fuctioning BLF230 BELIMO handle for manual opening Damper can be opened without connecting to a voltage with enclosed handle turning in the direction of the arrow on electric acuator (clockwise). Damper can be locked in the desired position by fast turning back handle a quarter of a turn (counterclockwise). To unlock the electromotor, turn handle clockwise for a quarter of a turn. If the handle is released, damper will be closed by return spring. When damper is opened manually, electric actuator will not move the damper into closed position after power failure (thermoelectric fuse). Fire damper type PPZCEN-R Damper is delivered in closed position. To open the damper, handle should be turned in counter-clockwise direction to “OPEN” position.
