SOLO CONTROL SYSTEM • Lighting Control System Description • System Schematic • LCM and Sensor Configuration SOLO Solo System Overview The Greengate Spectrum Solo Lighting Management System is a stand alone system that provides cost effective lighting controls with designed in flexibility for many applications. This simple method of lighting control utilises a single stand-alone LCM providing nine outputs operating in three groups of three, each group controlled individually from a dedicated input. Outputs can also be controlled using a Combined Sensor to give presence or absence detection, infra-red override & solar control. Additional PIR detectors can be added to increase movement detection without the need for daisey chaining of Sensors. A further input is availble for connection of an Emergency Test Key Switch. LCM functionality: • • • • • Dimming or switching of luminaires in their groups Presence detection Absence detection Daylight control Infra-red control A hand-held intra-red configuraton tool is also available. All lighting control products supplied by Greengate are independently tested to comply with the European Standards and Directives for noise immunity and safety and are CE marked accordingly. Combined Sensors The combined sensors are flush mounted within a ceiling tile or in fill plate offering control of small groups of luminaires using a combination of PIR, Infra Red and Photocell sensors. The Presence Detector element provides a circular detection range at desk level of a diameter twice that of the mounting height. The functions available are PD automatic ON/OFF (Presence mode) and Automatic OFF after 20 minute time out period (Absense Mode). The sensors have the ability to control lighting according to the ambient lighting conditions in conjunction with presence detection as detailed above. Local override control is via a hand-held infra-red (IR) transmitter directed at the sensor, this enables the selection of lighting ON and OFF or to dimmable levels. P1 SOLO Solo System Overview 9 Way Pluggable Lighting Control Modules: Analogue/Digital/DALI The unit is dual fix and is suitable for conventional wiring installations, it has a base for first fix purposes allowing for connection of the mains supply and a lid installed as a second fix operation that houses the electronics. These modules have the luminaire leads connected in a horizontal plane alleviating possible strain on the ports and keeping space taken in the ceiling void to a maximum of just 61mm. The Lighting Control Module requires a mains supply and is designed so that on initial power up, or reinstatement after a power failure, each group of outputs will operate with a 2 second delay to the last therefore reducing inrush currents. This LCM has a single phase supply and is rated to a maximum of 16 Amps distributed across the nine outputs, with each individual output capable of up to 4 Amps.. Outputs and inputs are defined in groups and can be operated independently of one another, for example outputs in group one are operated by input one, two by two etc. Outputs are 6 pole pluggable connectors for either all analogue or all digital luminaires connected to an individual LCM, digital luminaires being either all DSI or all DALI. Note: This LCM does not provide DALI ballast feedback information. Each group of three outputs is protected by a 5 amp fuse to reduce the possibility of a complete lighting control module failure, a forth 5 amp fuse individually protects the maintained live feeds. Outputs have an LED status indicator to assist with maintenance and an LED for LCM power supply status. Inputs are 4 pole pluggable wireable terminals for up to 2.5mm wiring or RJ12 sockets accommodating pre-made pluggable sensor leads, inputs operate as follows: • Inputs 1 to 3 each controlling an output group by 2 Way & OFF Retractive Wall Switches. • Input 4 controlling all outputs by Emergency Test Latching Key Switch. • Inputs 5 to 7 (for additonal detector coverage) controlling all outputs by Combined Sensor for presence or absence detection only. • Input 8 (default sensor connection) controlling all outputs by Combined Sensor for presence or absence detection, infra-red override & solar control (solar control requires on-site setup). All Greengate LCM input connections are SELV and are in the range 0-10V. 15V is available for active override devices and sensors.
