Louis, and Philadelphia, Alan Jacobson’s WaistWatchers The Musical! pulls into the
Montgomery Theatre in Downtown San Jose, September 7-25, 2016 with its cast of four
seasoned performers who can’t “weight” to make audiences laugh
In the same energetic and fun spirit as Menopause The Musical®, WaistWatchers The
Musical! takes a hilarious and lighthearted look at four women dealing with food,
friendship, love, life and sex! The show runs September 7-25, at the Montgomery
Theatre, 271 South Market Street, San Jose 95113.
Set in Cook’s Women’s Gym, WaistWatchers The Musical! features four women “of a
certain age” dealing with assorted body image issues through active staging and 24
songs with parody lyrics. With constant workouts, choreography, and infectious songs,
WaistWatchers The Musical! tackles issues like dieting, exercise, plastic surgery, sex
over the age of forty, and the relentless search for a positive self-image with humor and
sensitivity.

The four women “Zumba-ize” popular songs, turning them into tunes like “Botox Queen”,
“I Hope I Lose It”, “The World’s Greatest Ice Cream”,” I Went To The Buffet Line”, and
“Viagra.” WaistWatchers The Musical! has made audiences across the country roar
with laughter and want to jump to their feet and join in the fun.

DIONNE CAROLE (Carla) has swept the hearts of many on stage, film and sea. Credits
include: Dreamgirls International Tour (Ensemble), Godspell (Peggy), Ain’t Misbehavin
(Charlaine), Smokey Joe’s Café (BJ), Peter Nero & The Philly Pops, and numerous live musical
theater performances with Holland America Cruise Line. Dionne is a singer, songwriter, actress,
and recording artist. She is the Founder of Le Savoir-Faire, a non-profit charm and etiquette
school dedicated to equipping and empowering the lives of today’s young ladies.
PAM JORGENSEN (Cindy) has performed in over 50 productions on the East Coast, appearing
at 13th Street Rep (NYC) and Bucks County Playhouse (PA), to name a few. Some favorite
roles include Miss Delilah Strict in Zombie Prom, Agnes Gooch in Mame, Fanny Brice in Funny
Girl, and Rose in Gypsy.. Without the support of her husband, she says, she would still be
playing the part of a “square-peg-in-round-hole-trying-to-make-it-as-a-cubicle-jockey-incorporate-America.” When she’s not on stage, Pam is a mentor and coach to aspiring young
performers and is a proud member of the Sommelier Society of America.
KRISSY JOHNSON (Cheryl) received a Master of Music in vocal performance from the
University of Houston. Moving to New York, she performed in shows and wedding bands. OffBroadway credits include Murdered by the Mob, Forgotten Broadway, and The WWOW Radio
Mystery Hour. Regional Credits include Houdini at the Goodspeed Opera House, and A
Christmas Carol at the Burt Reynolds Theatre in West PalmBeach, as well as appearing in The
Sound of Music, High School Musical, Noises Off, and 42nd Street. In addition to musical
theatre, she performs classical recitals and has been a backup singer for Real Diamond, a Neil
Diamond tribute band.
ELEONORE S. THOMAS (Connie) has performed in numerous along the East Coast. Some
favorite credits include The Royal Christmas Tours starring Andrea Bocelli & Julie Andrews. In
NYC, she was seen in The Medium (Taksu Theatre Co.) and Diet Monologues: The Musical
(MITF). Regional work includes he roles of Bloody Mary in South Pacific (Arizona Broadway
Theatre), Mother Abbess in Sound of Music (New Candlelight Theatre), and Iowa Housewife in
Menopause the Musical (The Palms.) When not traveling the nation to perform, Eleonore can be
found inspiring young creative minds as an educator at the Delaware Museum of Natural History.
ALAN JACOBSON (Author) has produced more than 80 shows around the country, and two of
them moved to New York. If You Ever Leave Me I’m Going With You starring Renee Taylor and
Joe Bologna moved to Broadway, and Down the Garden Paths starring Eli Wallach and Anne
Jackson moved Off-Broadway. Mr.Jacobson has written, produced and directed over 50 cabaret
shows the last 23 years, and is the founder and partner of Broadway Theatre Cruises, a
company specializing in theme packages with Broadway stars.
MATT SILVA (Director) is the Artistic Director for Playhouse Productions, Inc. He holds an
MA in Theatre from Villanova University and an MFA in Directing from Florida State University.
In addition to directing Playhouse Productions’ successful tours of Old Jews Telling Jokes and
Becoming Dr. Ruth, a few of Matt’s favorite directing credits include: Hotel Suite, Rounding
Third, The Love of the Nightingale, Crimes of the Heart and Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dream Coat (Barrymore nomination for Best Director of a musical for his 14-person
adaptation of Dream Coat.)
WaistWatchers The Musical! opens next in Walnut Creek, CA in August and San Jose
in September.
