Our Aim
Our aim is dedicated to assisting installers and service technicians working in the energy field, in achieving the
highest possible standards through a theoretical and practical approach to training using the most up to-date
equipment and technology available.
Company Overview
METAC Training is the largest energy training and assessment centre in Ireland and the UK and trains
approximately 1,700 people annually. Our realistic training facilities equip people with practical skills for the modern
workforce that are nationally recognised by QQI, Blueflame, City & Guilds, UKAS, Bord Gais and OFTEC amongst
others. All courses we run are independently certified and verified by external agencies. All the administration and
management of our certified courses is managed directly by our administration personnel.
The company was established in 2006 by Dominic Dunne, an installer himself by trade, who saw a gap in the market
for a training facility which would permit a high degree of live and simulated training which effectively reflects an
authentic work environment. METAC Training is renowned in the energy industry for our specialist training in
Renewable Energy, Gas and Oil as well as Sustainable Systems such as Rainwater Harvesting.
Our trainers all work in the industries both nationally and internationally in which they train which ensures they are
up-to-date with the latest technologies and issues that participants may face on a daily basis. They continually revise
and update their skills to ensure they impart the latest knowledge to participants.
Facilities
Our centre based in Mountrath, Co. Laois is equipped with 13 theory rooms, 11 practical rooms, 2 canteens and onsite parking. We offer all our course participants free lunch as well as free tea/coffee. The centre is fully insured for
the training of individuals/organisations and built to comply with all fire and safety regulations.
