THERMAL OVERLOAD PROTECTION
Protector I, II and III Series
THE PROTECTOR I SERIES
The Protector I over-temperature control system utilizes a heat sensitive fuse to detect overheat conditions. The fuse, placed inside
a thermowell, positioned in contact with the heater sheath, will cut power to the heater in the event of low liquid level.

THE PROTECTOR II AND III SERIES
The Protector II and Protector III systems provide the same reliable over-temperature protection as the Protector I; however, the control systems feature a heat sensing thermostat. Should the tank’s liquid level drop to a preset overheat point, the thermostat will trip
and an audible alarm will sound, cutting power to the heater. This eliminates dangerous operating conditions. After filling the tank,
the immersion heater can be quickly made operational by pushing the reset button on the control to restore power. Protector III is
designed for flexible lead or high temperature fluoropolymer (PTFE) heater applications only. DO NOT wire PIII or PT-III devices directly to power or heater load as a dangerous short circuit will result with irreparable damage to the heater. Please refer to wiring diagrams for proper installation.

Technic equipment, heaters and controls, have been carefully inspected before shipping and
are warranted to be free from defects of workmanship and material for a period of one year from
date of purchase. At its option Technic, Inc. will repair or replace any defects which are exhibited
under proper and normal use. Technic, Inc. disclaims any responsibility for misuse, misapplication,
negligence of improper installation of equipment. Technic, Inc. make no warranty or representation
regarding the fitness for use or the application of its products by the purchaser.
Equipment cannot be guaranteed against premature failure due to corrosive action caused by
unusual conditions over which we have no control, such as: excessively high solution temperature,
the concentration of the solution, the presence of inhibitors, the presence of other acids causing
a secondary reaction, stray electrical currents, flux floating on the surface, the presence of
dissolved gasses, excessive sludge buildup, stagnant or turbulent flow of the solution, erosion.
Technic, Inc. is not liable for labor costs incurred in removal, reinstallation, or unauthorized repair
of the product or for damage of any type whatever including incidental or consequential damage.
Items returned to Technic for any reason shall be via freight prepaid, unless prior arrangements
have been made.
