State-Aid CAN be used for training expenses at state or regional fire schools to include lodging, registration, and/or travel (Must have recipts and proof of payment.) PRIOR APPROVAL REQUIRED Purchasing items from this list require a letter or email from the Fire Chief of the department requesting approval from the Fire Commission Division Director of Operations. Correspondence must contain verification that each member of the department has NFPA approved PPE.
