EXCYC

The EXCYC edge-lit Exit features a clean, cylindrical
design. When paired with die-cast canopy, the EXCYC
provides a fresh approach to the traditional exit sign.
The “quick slide” canopy allows in-field adjustment
from wall mount to ceiling mount. Utilizing direct, highoutput, high efficiency LED’s, the EXCYC illuminates
with a crisp and even light distribution. The EXCYC
can be wall, ceiling or end mounted. Wall and ceiling are field adjustable, end mount configuration must
be specified. The EXCYC is available in AC only and

SELF-POWERED: comes standard configured with high-output LED
technology, 120/277VAC input. Nickel-cadmium batteries provide a
minimum 90 minutes of emergency duration. Solid state charger &
transfer.
EXTERNAL SPECIFICATIONS
The EXCYC series cylindrical housing is constructed as a single
piece from extruded aluminum. The canopy is made from durable
die-cast aluminum and the end caps from machined aluminum. The
high clarity acrylic face plate is available in both single or double face
versions, with a clear, white, mirrored or self-luminous background
(please specify). Field adjustable chevrons are standard. White,
baked powder coat finish is standard on all versions. Available in
custom colors and finishes (please specify). External LED monitor
light and test switch are standard on self-powered versions.
ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The EXCYC series is configured with high-output LED lamps. Standard with 120/277VAC input. All LED versions consume only 1.1W
nominal power. Optional emergency illumination is provided by the
LED light source at the following wattages:
6VDC - 0.5 Watts
12VDC - 1.5 Watts
24VDC - 3.5 Watts
BATTERY TECHNOLOGY
The EXCYC-SA is designed with a maintenance free, Nickel-Cadmium battery providing a minimum emergency duration of 90 minutes. Recharge time of the battery is twenty-four (24) hours. The
maximum battery working temperature is 50° C.
SELF-POWERED VERSIONS
The EXCYC-SA self-powered series is designed to operate on battery power in the event of a regular / main power failure. Both the

Standard stencil letters are 6" high with ¾" stroke.
Starred (*) dimensions are units with 8" stencil letters, 1" Stroke
battery and charger are completely contained within the standard
enclosure. There are no external components and no alterations
made to the external dimmensions of the standard sign. The EXCYCSA self-powered series utilize a solid state transformer technology
that eliminates the possibility of relay failure due to particle build up
on the relay. Status is easily determined via an LED that indicates
AC-ON. A push button test switch allows maintenance personnel to
quickly confirm the operational status of the exit on AC fail
SELF-LUMINOUS FACE
The EXCYC series can be ordered with an optional self-luminous face
panel. The use of photoluminescent technology adds a new level of
safety to current signage. The EXCYC series optional self-luminous
panel automatically charges itself in one (1) hour using any available
light source. The 80% phosphorus pigments create a white “glow”
which allows the EXCYC edge-lit series to continually illuminate for
up to 4 hours. The added element of safety that photoluminescent
technology offers is ideal for use on every edge-lit installation.
