The degree diploma is awarded by the Faculty. The language of the degree diploma is either Finnish or Swedish. The students
who are studying in one of the Faculty´s International Master's Degree Programmes (MBIOT, MNEURO, MURE) or have been
accepted in the admission of international students will be awarded two original degree diplomas: one in either Finnish or Swedish
and another in English. All graduates will receive a transcript of records of studies included in the degree and a Diploma
Supplement, which is an English appendix designed for international use.
Students can obtain official copies (8 € per copy) of their degree diploma for a separate fee. The fees for copies can be paid to the
following bank account: Nordea FI23 1660 3000 0777 20. NB! If you pay the fee from a bank abroad, then the payment information
is the following: IBAN FI 2316603000077720, Swift NDEAFIHH. The name of the recipient must be indicated as Faculty of
Biological and Environmental Sciences and the mandatory reference number is 99104917. Please send a copy of the payment
receipt or the receipt of a printout from your Internet bank with your diploma application.
The diploma application must be submitted to the Faculty Office of the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences at the
following address: Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences, P.O. Box 65, 00014 University of Helsinki
(Environment House, Viikinkaari 2a). The application can also be emailed to bio-diploma(at)helsinki.fi. Degree diplomas can be
collected from the Faculty Office of it can be posted to an address indicated on a diploma application. Diplomas can be obtained
from the Faculty Office about four weeks after submitting a diploma application. Please note that certificates are not processed
between midsummer and the end of July.
