REPLACING RECEIVER/LOGIC PANEL ASSEMBLY
NOTE: This assembly is a retrofit replacement for your original receiver/logic panel assembly. The receiver has a
code button instead of code switches and requires a new Deluxe Light and Lock wall control of your opener had
that feature. See side two for code setting procedure.
DISCONNECT ELECTRIC POWER TO OPENER BEFORE REMOVING PAINTED COVER OR PANELS.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Depending on model type,
you may have to remove opener lens before
proceeding with replacement part installation.

Depending on model type, receiver/logic panel assembly is located as illustrated in Figure 1.
1. Disconnect wires from receiver/logic panel assembly noting color of wires.
2. Remove plastic panel containing receiver/logic panel assembly by removing screws at points “B” and “C” (Figure 1).
3. Disconnect receiver/logic panel assembly from opener by holding wire connector plug and pulling down on the panel.
DO NOT TOUCH PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD OF REPLACEMENT RECEIVER/LOGIC PANEL
ASSEMBLY DURING INSTALLATION.
4. Install replacement assembly by reversing steps 1, 2 and 3. connector plug is polarized. do not force connection.
5. Position and fasten receiver/logic panel assembly.
If your old logic panel had a wire connected to the yellow terminal, install new 2-wire wall control.
6. Re-connect power.
NOTE: A TEST OF THE SAFETY REVERSE SYSTEM IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE OPERATION (Side Two).
OPEN and CLOSE force settings may also require adjustment. Refer to your Owner’s Manual.

SET RECEIVER TO MATCH TRANSMITTER(S) CODE GARAGE
DOOR OPENER WITH CODE BUTTON
1. Select transmitter push button to operate the garage
door opener.
2. Press and HOLD the transmitter push button
3. Then press the receiver code button on the receiver.
The opener light will FLASH once.
Release the transmitter push button. Code setting is
complete.
Repeat the procedure for any other transmitter type
accessory that you may have.

NOTE: If the transmitter push button is not held down
until the opener light flashes, the opener has not learned
the code.
If the receiver code button is pressed and held until the
indicator light alongside goes out (approximately 6
seconds), all memorized codes will be erased.
THE SAFETY REVERSE SYSTEM TEST IS IMPORTANT. THE GARAGE DOOR MUST REVERSE
ON CONTACT WITH A ONE-INCH OBSTACLE PLACED ON THE FLOOR. FAILURE TO PROPERLY
ADJUST THE OPENER MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY FROM A CLOSING
GARAGE DOOR. REPEAT THE TEST ONCE A MONTH AND MAKE ANY NEEDED ADJUSTMENTS.
PROCEDURE: Place a 1-inch obstacle on the floor under
the garage door. Operate the door in the DOWN direction.
The door must reverse on the obstruction.
If the door STOPS on obstruction, it is not traveling far
enough in down direction. Turn the DOWN limit adjustment
screw counterclockwise 1/4 turn to increase travel. REPEAT
TEST. NOTE: Make sure limit adjustments do not force
door arm beyond a vertical position.
When the door reverses on the 1-inch obstacle, remove the
obstacle an run opener through a complete travel cycle. Door
MUST NOT reverse in closed position. Repeat adjustment
and test if necessary.
