Towbar Mainframe with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
Backplate
M10 x 35 x 1.5mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (20mm O.D)
M10 x 35 x 1.5mm Bolt, Nut, Lock Washer and 2 Flat Washers (20mm O.D)
M10 x 35 x 1.5mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Large Flat Washers (30mm O.D)
M8 x 35 x 1.25mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (20mm O.D)
M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
FITTING
1.
Disconnect fog light bracket. Remove rear bumper, disconnect reversing light. Remove metal weight block, located inside
valance on offside.
2.
Insert left end of Mainframe (A) into rear aperture of vehicle valance, then rotate round and insert right end of Mainframe (A)
into rear aperture of vehicle valance.
3.
Push left side of Mainframe (A) up, and to the right (offside of the vehicle) as far as possible and drill Hole (A) as shown
below. Note: Avoid touching wiring loom with drill.
4.
Offer up Backplate (C) from other side of rear valance and insert Bolt (D).
5.
Push right side of Mainframe (A) up as far as possible, and drill Hole (B) as shown below. Offer up Backplate (C) from other
side of rear valance and insert Bolt (D).
6.
Mark and drill for other Bolts. Note: It will be necessary to drill through outer valance skin for Bolts (G)
7.
Insert remaining Bolts and washers, and finally, Tighten all Bolts. Reconnect reversing light, refit bumper (after removing
central bumper tag) and attach fog light bracket.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
