FROM THE PRESIDENT
As I sit here writing this month's from the President, the summer is quickly running down. Soon
Campuses will be reopening and students returning to the campuses. Summer is over for many. As
the students return many of us have to adjust our daily routines. Student orientation, new student
programs, and 1st week activities all begin to ramp up. Classes begin.
September is Campus Fire Safety month in many areas and the Center wants to know what is
happening on your campus.

COLLEGE INITIATION - HIS AND MINE
By: Mark W. Earley, PE , NFPA
College move-in day finally arrived. When I went
to college, students moved in clothes and other
personal essentials. The college kids of today are

seen carrying in television sets, video games,
small refrigerators, microwave ovens, and a
myriad of other essential and unessential
appliances.
