Audio Frequency Receiver
The new Ferrolux audio frequency receiver FLE 10 in conjunction with the route sensor FS 10 combines the new location technique SuperMax, SignalSelect (identification of the direction of
the signal flow) and the conventional audio frequency methods
in one instrument.
With the aid of an audio frequency generator, the following
techniques can be implemented:
■ Normal-Minimum, Normal-Maximum
■ Super-Maximum
■ SignalSelect (only in conjunction with Audio Frequency
Generator FLG 10)
■ Helical field locating method
■ Depth measurement (digital + 45° method)
■ Cable selection
■ Location of sheath faults
■ Exploration of sites
The new Route Sensor allows both the cable layout depth and
the signal current to be measured simultaneously. The handle of
the Route Sensor can be swivelled by 90° which is very useful
in implementing the available techniques and meets all requirements of ergonomics.
Further Features:
■ Very wide dynamic range of 120 dB ensures high sensitivity and avoids overload at strong signal current.
■ Direct measurement of cable layout depth and signal
current strength
■ Cable position finding with left-right user guidance
■ RS-232 PC interface: Recording of data series and
transfer to PC.
■ Rapid (boost) charging of battery within 10 minutes for
3 h operating time
The SignalSelect transmitter signal has a specific code which
allows the looked-for cable to be identified unambiguously.

The FERROLUX® Measuring System provides solutions to a wide variety of problems for operators of power and telecommunication cable systems as well as public utility companies for
gas and water supply.
This new Audio Frequency Generator can be used for cable tracing, cable identification, location of cable faults or the finding
and tracing of metal pipes.
A new development in the FERROLUX® range is the capability
of transmitting three frequencies simultantaneously. This does
away with the need to switch over at the transmitter to change
the frequency while operating.
In conjunction with the new Audio Frequency Receiver FLE 10,
the system can be used for implementing the new position finding technique SuperMax and the SignalSelect method of identifying the direction of signal flow.
The instrument measures and displays the loop impedance of
the object under test, output voltage and current, and phase
angle.
In continuous operation there are no overheating problems
when feeding capacitive loads (insulated gas pipes) nor inductive loads (shorted cables).

The FERROLUX® Measuring System allows operators of power
and telecommunication cables as well as public utility companies for gas and water supply to solve a wide variety of problems.

This new Audio Frequency Generator can be used for cable
location, cable selection, cable identification or pipeline location.
A new development in the FERROLUX® range is the capability
of transmitting three frequencies simultaneously. This eliminates the necessity of changing the transmitter frequency during
operation.
In conjunction with the new Audio Frequency Receiver FLE 10,
the system can be used for implementing the new position
locating technique SuperMax and the SignalSelect
method of identifying the direction of signal flow.
The instrument measures and displays the loop impedance of
the object under test, output voltage and current, and phase
angle.
There is no overheating of the generator in continuous operation when feeding capacitive loads (insulated gas pipes) or
inductive loads (shorted cables). The FLG 10 can serve as a
charging station for the audio frequency receiver.
