COURSE SYNOPSIS
Pathway 3: Assessment Only Pathway (AOP)
The WSQ Certificate in Spa Services programme aims to
equip learners with the necessary competencies to build a
career in the spa and wellness industry.
Trainees with one year experience in the spa and wellness
industry may choose to attain the WSQ Certificate in Spa
Services without attending classes.
The programme consists of 7 modules. They are:

PATHWAYS
Trainees can choose any of the following 3 pathways:
Pathway 1: Certificate in WSQ Spa Services
Trainees may choose to go through the full 236 hours of
training and attain the Certificate in WSQ Spa Services
Trainees who already possess Statements Of Attainment
(SOA) under the WSQ Spa Services framework are eligible
for module exemptions and pro-ration of course fees.
Pathway 2: WSQ Spa Services (Modular)
Trainees may choose to undertake only some modules and
attain the SOAs.
Applicants who are interested in this pathway shall be
screened for eligibility. Those who are eligible may attempt
the assessment directly.
TARGET AUDIENCE
New entrants:
• Workers currently employed in industries other than spa
and wellness industry but seeking to acquire new skills and
switch careers to the industry; and
• Unemployed workers seeking to enter the spa and
wellness industry.
Existing practitioners:
• Workers currently employed in the spa and wellness industry and seeking to upgrade their skills.
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENT
• ESS Workplace Literacy Level 3.
CERTIFICATION
Participants shall be awarded Statements of Attainment
(SOA) upon successful demonstration of the competencies
outlined in the assessment plan for each module.

* WTS refers Workfare Training Scheme. Singaporeans who are above 35 years old and earning less than or equal to $1900.00 per month can get 95% funding
for the programme. You will also receive $400 training commitment award per year. Companies who sponsor WTS recipients will need to top up 5% of the
course fees.
** To benefit from absentee payroll for training outside of working hours, employers are required to top up a balance equivalent to 20% of hourly basic salary,
capped at $1.90/hr for SMEs and $1.10/hr for non-SMEs.
