Spring 2015 News Letter Key Dates Term 3 ends – 18th Sept School Holidays 19th Sept- 4th Oct Social Skills Holiday Program: 22nd-24th September 29th- 1st October Term 4 starts: 5th Oct The Zones of Regulation The Zones of Regulation is a curriculum geared towards helping students gain skills in consciously regulating their actions, which in turn leads to increased control and problem solving. Using a cognitive behavior approach, the curriculum’s learning activities are designed to help students recognize when they are in different states called “zones,” with each of four zones represented by a different color. In the activities, students also learn how to use strategies or tools to stay in a zone or move from one to another. The curriculum also includes worksheets, other handouts, and visuals to display and share. These can be photocopied from this book or printed from the accompanying CD. In addition, The Zones of Regulation posters can be purchased to support these concepts in the classroom. Welcome to our Spring Newsletter for 2015!
