Chris Hanssen Director of Customer Services Innovative Solutions from Stein, Frigoscandia, Northfield, DSI and Double D PRoCARE™ Program The smart way to produce more tonnage per day PRoCARE is a program that allows you to have scheduled preventive inspections and maintenance of your equipment and minimizes unexpected and budget shattering costs due to reactive maintenance. preventative measures, PRoCARE will virtually eliminate those big jumps in your budget. A PRoCARE service agreement is designed to give you a predictable monthly cost based on actual equipment use and offers peace of mind allowing you to produce as planned. • Improve Performance Minimize downtime and control your budget Your earnings and profits are directly related to how much you produce in a given time period, which depends on the performance, reliability and availability of your equipment. Predictive and preventive maintenance are key to running smooth production operations. Proper maintenance allows you to predict potential downtime, avoid a major breakdown and stopped production. To be able to minimize downtime, the equipment needs to be regularly serviced to optimize condition. Each minute of downtime means lost production that in some cases cannot be recovered. Having equipment needs met and proper planning lead to uptime and productivity. It’s a partnership that helps you achieve a steady even budget that can save you money, year after year. PRoCARE optimizes your production and minimizes downtime. Before we begin, we perform an equipment audit to ensure that the equipment is running correctly. If necessary, we’ll agree on an overhaul plan and perform the work. Once a baseline performance level is established, we sign you up and kick off training for your staff to achieve the best results. • Keep your equipment running Equipment breakdown is stressful. Through the various service levels of PRoCARE, we offer you strategies to keep your equipment running. We tailor the program, allowing you to choose the level of service that fits your needs. Innovative Solutions from Stein, Frigoscandia, Northfield, DSI and Double D Humitrol III ® Latest technology in controlled, state-of the-art controls for high humidity oven cooking bulb” moisture measurement. The accuracy is +/- 1% of % MV Full Scale over the full operating range of the oven, regardless of heating method – direct or indirect heat source, gas or thermal fluid. Benefits •Digital display provides operating and diagnostic information for easy troubleshooting While this latest revision is now standard on all new equipment, it can also be easily retrofitted to upgrade earlier versions. •Diagnostic screen alerts: sensor module recalibration, pump tubing replacement and barrel cleaning The Humitrol senses the water vapor in the oven’s atmosphere. It measures oven humidity on a scale of 0 to 100 percent MV (moisture by volume) at any temperature above 212 ˚F / 100 ˚C. The MV percentage is the volume of water vapor in the oven atmosphere at a temperature above the boiling point. Valves of MV are independent of oven temperature and do not rely on “wet •New layout enables higher internal heat resistance and less sampling tube in oven •Air purging capability allows Humitrol to remain on during CIP operation •Stainless steel enclosure and peristaltic pump improve reliability during maintenance. Safety Audit Program New Stein Kits Viking Brand PD Pumps JBT is now offering seal and full rebuild kits for Viking brand PD pumps found on many Stein fryers and filters. These customized kits include seals, gaskets and other key components that when incorporated into your preventative maintenance program can ensure that your pumps will run longer and more efficiently. Each kit contains an installation guide and all required hardware to make installation easy and painless. Utilizing these kits will greatly increase the life of your pumps and will save you time, money and downtime that would usually be associated with replacing an entire pump. Blue Plastics In continuation of our constant improvements, JBT will be phasing out white UHMW, nylon and acetyl components in 2014 and will be replacing them with equivalent blue alternatives. Due to the nature of their visual detectability, blue plastics are becoming a common food processing requirement. For additional information, contact your JBT customer service representative. JBT FoodTech Gives You a Competitive Advantage Renewed Safety and Hygiene JBT FoodTech technical training programs deliver the information your personnel need to run your equipment effectively, proficiently and safely. The beginning of a New Year can bring an excellent opening to renew safety and hygiene programs. While unintentional, during the course of a busy year, there are ample opportunities for maintenance to take a lesser priority to production throughput. Before you know it, a safety relay is jumped, a guard is missing, a label has been removed or new staff members have joined the team. In addition to safety, as equipment ages, hygiene can also be impacted. Again, before you know it a CIP circuit is missing, a floor is cracked, a belt is worn or controls are obsolete. Now, is the best time to determine if you have all the right tools in place to make 2014 not only productive, but protected. If you have any questions or would like to set-up customized training, please contact John Arnold at john.arnold@jbtc.com or Lee Clarkson at lee.clarkson@jbtc.com.
