What?
RII20113 Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation is an 8 day course that will
assist participants to acquire the skills to successfully work within the civil/extractive/mining
industry.

Participant contribution is $50 per person or $20 for concession card holder

Pathways?
This course has been designed to provide the participant the edge over others to enter into the
construction/extractive & mining industry. We have built into this course general inductions, hazard
identification, read and interpret maps, working at heights, planning and organising work activities
along with many other relevant activity that prepare the participant for working in the industry. Our
trainers are real managers who have been working and still work in the industry today, they have
employed and completed years of projects and dozens of people. We have the industry at heart and
want to support participants with the real skills that will assist them into gaining employment.
Resources and Infrastructure industries include:

Mining – hard rock such as gold, silver, zinc, bauxite, etc.; and coal; surface and
underground;
Drilling – exploration, oil and gas on shore, e.g. coal seam gas and natural gas, and off shore;
Quarrying and small mines
Civil Construction – includes building of vital infrastructure such as roads, bridges, dams,
ports, pipelines, building construction, earth works, etc.
