Kindergarten – aged 5, will turn 6; 1st grade – 6 yrs; 2nd grade – 7 yrs;
3rd grade – 8 yrs; 4th grade – 9 yrs; 5th grade - 10 yrs; 6th grade – 11
yrs, so grades are a near enough match for classes-but the grade
references are not always suitable
