Neighborhood Matching Grant Funding: 2016 Subdivision/ HOA Brookston Place Cumberland Place Brief Project Description* The purpose of this grant application is to improve the main physical entrance point of the Brookston Place community. The wall has deteriorated to the point of becoming a potential hazard to anyone performing landscaping duties, hanging Christmas decorations or children that might try to climb on the wall. The first brick entry wall to our neighborhood (corner of Delaware Parkway and Bailey Way), has major deterioration and cracks that have been patched are repaired a few times over Summerfield the recent years. It is now where the wall is beginning to separate at cracks and needs to be rebuilt. We will utilize the existing bricks, but repaired with a better, more stable rebuild to match the other wall. Timber Springs Tremont TSPOA needs to remove and replace the southern most brick wall at the subdivision entryway along Hague Road. This wall was not constructed properly and is currently deteriorating as water surges through the wall during rain storms. The new wall will be backfilled with pea gravel to insure the wall drains properly and the new brick will match the existing entryway walls. The Tremont HOA has decided to repair and enhance the entryway to the subdivision. $7,080.00 $3,540.00 $2,500.00 Masonry seems to use the help, but it could last 2001, 2003, longer. Didn't seem 2006, 2009, entirely unsound to one 2012 committee member. It is a hardscape project. $6,250.54 $3,100.00 $3,100.00 The need is there. While not a huge benefit for the city, it is a big need for the neighborhood. $9,800.00 $4,900.00 $4,900.00 Fully fund. Numerous items at the Windermere neighborhood entrance at 106th Street and Windermere Blvd. need to be repaired/replaced including the "entrance monument" masonry and limestone, new landscaping and new ground accent lighting for this monument. $8,001.45 $4,000.73 $2,500.00 This is a heavily travelled road and a need. There is one fountain in this pond, however, by the shape of the pond, it is insufficient to aerate the entirety of the water, resulting in mucky water that has produced odors and is not friendly to the natural wildlife habitat of the area. Our neighborhood just had 100 trees removed from our park due to Emerald Ash Borer Beetle infestation and we are replacing 50 of those lost. $6,725.00 $3,300.00 $0.00 Interior project that does not meet criteria. 2009 $2,313.60 $1,156.50 $0.00 Ineligible - application submitted after deadline.
