Presettable Valves
Why a balancing thermostatic radiator valve?
Due to the application of the specially designed Jaga and Jaga Danfoss presettable TRV’s, the water flow volume (Kv) in the heating elements can
be adjusted precisely to ensure optimal performance of the TRV.
A similar TRV with built-in balancing may be considered as having two control possibilities.
The first option gives a variable control, determined by the required room temperature.
The second option, through balancing offers control of the maximum water flow rate.

The above diagrams indicate the water distribution to heating elements at
start-up. The system on the right has balanced TRV fitted, the one on the
left does not.
Benefits
--When the water flow volume is controlled, the required volume of water is delivered to the various heating elements. This process saves energy
and ensures maximum comfort.
--At start-up, when all TRV’s are fully opened, the balancing control allows the heating elements furthest away to get the required amount of hot
water.
--The water flow temperature can be reduced earlier because every heating element warms up in a uniform manner, eliminating restrictive
energy loss that can be caused by overheating incorrectly balanced elements.
--The noise of excessive water flow will also be reduced thanks to the balancing flow control.
--The optimal water distribution allows a smaller water circulation pump to be installed.
--The water distribution to the different heating elements can easily be adapted when extending or changing the heating system.
