Full flush runway centreline light and touchdown zone light
The full flush 12” runway centreline lights and touchdown zone
lights are based on a special designed adaptor ring and a standard
semi-flush inset light from Eaton Crouse-Hinds Airport Lighting
Products. Most inset lights protrude 6 mm or more. By using a
standard light in combination with this special designed adaptor
ring, the following features are achieved
• A full flush runway centreline and touchdown zone inset light
• The adaptor ring protects the light from external influence
A full flush inset light offers significant benefits for military and combined civil-military airfields. By providing a full flush surface, they
eliminate arrester hooks to start jumping and assure the correct
hook engagement to the arrester wire.
Full flush inset lights also simplify the snow clearing and reduces
the risk for damaging the light. Protruding lights may be damaged
during snow clearing with a steel blade snow plow, the adapter ring
also offers additional fixture protection.
The inset lights are available with either halogen or LED as light
source. The light and the adaptor plate can easily be installed in a
standard 12” base.
