Features and Applications:
The IG1240RC3 features full mode protection and is recommended for residential and
commercial applications. It is intended for installation on 120/240 volt AC panels. The
IG1240RC3 incorporates the newest developments in large MOV technology and provides
individual component thermal protection and monitoring. The failure of a single component
will turn the LED indicator OFF.
Flush Mount Plate
The “All Mode” protective configuration provides protection between every conductor
in the electrical system. When installed on service entrance, main panel, or sub-panel, protection is provided
against all possible modes of surge energy with distinct line-to-line, line-to-neutral, line-to-ground,
neutral-to-ground protection paths.
The IG1240RC3 carries a 5 year product and 5 year residential connected equipment warranty of up to $10,000.00.

Specifications:
Configuration: Parallel technology permits installation over a wide range of applications and ampacities. Compact
design provides a small footprint for easy installation.
Protection Modes: All Mode protection; line to line, line to neutral, line to ground and neutral to ground.
Components: Board configuration provides Very Low Impedance (VLI) surge paths.
Thermal Protection: MOVs contain thermal detection and protection. Components react to excessive heat stress
at each position and will trigger the circuit to decouple the affected suppression component.
Operational Indicators: Dedicated circuits monitor each component in each mode and control the LED indicator.
Lighted green indicator represents normal power-on and unit operational condition.
Enclosure: NEMA 3R polycarbonate.
Mounting: Two tabs molded into the unit housing are located on two faces. The unit may also be
mounted by the use of the 1/2” offset nipple.
Wiring: 30” of 12 gauge stranded copper wire is preconnected for each phase, neutral and ground.
Wires exit the enclosure through a 1/2” nipple located at the left side of the enclosure.
Wire Color Code: Black: phase leads, White: neutral lead, Green: ground lead.
Weight: 1.1 pounds, 4.7 pounds in master carton of 4 units.

Type 1 Surge Protection Devices may be
installed without the use of a Circuit Breaker.
Use of a Circuit Breaker is optional. A 15 or 20
Amp 2-pole breaker is recommended for ease
of installation and convenient disconnect.

If within the warranty period specified, this product fails due to a defect in material or workmanship, Intermatic Incorporated will repair or replace it, at its sole
option, free of charge. This warranty is extended to the original household purchaser only and is not transferable. This warranty does not apply to: (a) damage to
units caused by accident, dropping or abuse in handling, acts of God or any negligent use; (b) units which have been subject to unauthorized repair, opened, taken
apart or otherwise modified; (c) units not used in accordance with instructions; (d) damages exceeding the cost of the product; (e) sealed lamps and/or lamp
bulbs, LED’s and batteries; (f) the finish on any portion of the product, such as surface and/or weathering, as this is considered normal wear and tear; (g) transit
damage, initial installation costs, removal costs, or reinstallation costs. INTERMATIC INCORPORATED WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
