Loughborough College has a long tradition of helping
students who need to live away from home. Our
Accommodation Service Team has, over many years
helped thousands of students from all over the world to
find the kind of accommodation that suits them best.

Halls of Residence
Our halls are situated the College campus and are
within 5 minutes walk of the main College buildings.
Loughborough town centre is on a regular bus route.
Our halls are all self-catering; all have facilities where
you can prepare your own meals. Alternatively you can
eat in the college cafeteria Monday to Friday and cater
for yourself in the hall at weekends. Kitchens in halls are
adequately equipped with cookers, microwaves, fridge/
freezers, electric kettles and storage cupboards. Students
are expected to provide their own cooking utensils,
crockery and cutlery.
We are able to offer 170 bedrooms in our purpose built
halls complex. These halls provide all single rooms.
Some in six person units with shared shower, toilet
and kitchen facilities, others in five bedroom units with
ensuite bathrooms and shared kitchen facilities. There
are rooms and facilities for disabled students, subject to
assessment. All study bedrooms have a network point.

accommodation gives you a much better chance of
enjoying your course. We also know how difficult it can
be for our students from overseas, often travelling many
thousands of miles to come and study at Loughborough.

accommodation that suits you best.

Accommodation for under 18 year old learners has been
inspected by the Commission for Social Care under
Section 87, The Children Act 1989. All subsequent
inspections will be carried out by The Office for Standards
in Education (OFSTED)
Additionally there is a large converted Victorian house
at the Gables site. This building is the Elite Athlete
Performance Centre which accomodates 17 under 18 year
old Elite Athletes in single ensuite rooms with shared
kitchen, common room and treatment room.
All furniture in the halls is provided. Students are
expected to provide their own bedding and towels. The
College Accommodation Service can provide you with a
bedding pack should you require one.
The communal areas in halls are cleaned daily during the
week. The Accommodation Service Team looks after the
welfare of students in halls and homestay and although
they do not live in the halls, a 24 hour cover is provided
either by our Wardens or another member of the team,
should any problems arise.
The allocation of places and subsequent issue of
accommodation contracts are arranged only by the
Accommodation Service Team, located in the main
college building.
Loughborough College is a NON-SMOKING
campus, this includes all halls of residence and
their grounds. (There is a designated smoking
area in the grounds of the Gables Site)
