Malaysia Geospatial Online Services (MyGOS) : User Manual
Introduction:
Malaysia Geospatial Online Services (MyGOS) is a platform for user to promote sharing of
geospatial information. It enables you to turn your data into web-enabled services that your
whole organization members can use.
MyGOS gives you an easy-to-use and intuitive workspace for collaborating with others on your
organization. Create groups and invite others to work together on projects, and to share maps,
data, and other content. Create public groups to share information outside your organization
with everyone, or create private groups for limited viewing.
Benefit:
1. Can generate textual data to spatial.
2. Allows users to create and share maps on-line.
3. Allows users to upload information into MyGOS using MS Office.
4. Observation data assets can be implemented using MyGOS.

5. Allows user to create ‘story map’ and ‘simple web application’.
6. Allows users to access information on-line and accessible via smartphones and tablets.


Home button will display the front page of MyGOS.


Public Gallery is a configurable gallery application template that
displays group contents using a searchable grid or list. The
template displays current group items as they are added or
removed.

Sort Menu : The sort menu will allows you to look or
find ‘Most Recent’, ‘Most Viewed’ , ‘Highest Rated’, ‘Title’
and ‘Owner’ in MyGOS.
Main Menu Layout : The main menu layout will
allows you to display item by ‘GRID’ or ‘LIST’

Main Menu Gallery will display all application and information in MyGOS includes
Maps Images, Applications, and Web Maps.

 Left Side Menu:

Left Side Menu will display all application or
web services in MyGOS examples like map
application, maps image, mobile application
and web maps by category ALL, MAPS,
LAYERS and APPS.
2.3 Map

Map will display MyMap and user must sign in to explore this map and other maps from
Malaysian Centre for Geospatial Data Infrastructure and thousands of organizations and
enrich them with your own data to create new maps and map layers.

Popup Sign In:

Fill user name and password has been registered in MyGDI
Explorer to view layer of map.
Note:

User can register this ID at MyGDI Explorer: http://mygdix.mygeoportal.gov.my/register/insert.php
2.4 Groups

Groups will only display when you have permission (log in) to access in MyGOS.
Note:

Groups are a collection of items, usually related to a specific area of interest that are created
and managed by a group administrator. Anybody with an organizational account or public
account can create groups. As a group owner, you decide who can find your groups, if others
can request to join, and who can contribute content. You also have control over items shared
to the group and can invite others to join, even if your group does not accept membership
requests.
