CAST Lighting Fixtures:

w Stainless Steel Internal Components: Internal brackets and gimbals constructed of stainless steel.
w Advanced Socket Design: Path lights use wedge base sockets for highest protection from

CAST manufactures the Industry’s most sophisticated and feature-filled multi-tap transformers. With regard to performance and value, there are no better choices. Features:

CAST Lighting Wire:
All CAST No-Ox® wire is tin-coated marine grade for the highest level of resistance to corrosion. This wire is used for all internal wiring in our fixtures and transformers, and is available
in 500 ft. spools with remaining feet marked. When you install a CAST system, every piece of
wire both inside and outside of all components is tin-coated.
The CAST System of Installation:
The CAST System of Landscape Lighting Installation is widely recognized as the gold standard
in the Industry. It relies upon CAST pre-wired fixtures, CAST Spider Splice® junctions, CAST
No-Ox® wire and CAST transformers. The Spider Splice® junctions ensure an equal distribution
of voltage to all fixtures while greatly simplifying installation and maintenance. Another key
component is the Fixture Record Tag. These acid-etched tags are used to create a permanent
record at each fixture. Critical system data is recorded on the tags, such as lamp type and
wire run number. These tags replace the need for as-built drawings that may be lost over time
and are rarely kept up to date.
CAST Distribution Policy:
CAST Lighting is committed to supporting the success of CAST installers. Perhaps the most
important kind of support is the face-to-face service provided by your local distributor. We are
very selective in our choice of distributors. We only set up those who excel at customer service and who do not compete with their own customers. We do not distribute through online
retailers because of their low level of customer service and the zero value they add to the
supply chain. We want all CAST installers to be competing on a level playing field and to have
the on-the-ground local support when needed.
Hands-on Training:
David Beausoleil, Founder and President of CAST Lighting, is a recognized leader in Landscape
Lighting Education and Training. Through his course at Rutgers University and his CAST
Hands-on seminars he and his staff have trained hundreds of contractors, designers and
architects. Through our one-day hands-on seminars, you receive the best training in the
Industry. You also receive our 40-page Landscape Lighting Training Manual that serves as an

include detailed performance specifications along with installation specifics. We also provide
an overall sample Performance Specification that can be customized for any bid package.

Seven Reasons to Choose CAST LED’s
1. We Stay Cool
CAST LED’s transfer heat into solid bronze bodies - massive and effective heat sinks.
Enclosed fixtures are like ovens and air is the worst heat conductor. Even short periods of overheating can
reduce LED life by 50%. The thick-walled bronze is more effective than fins in pulling heat away from LED’s.
2. We Stay Dry
CAST LED’s are protected from water intrusion - through multiple methods.
All CAST LED components use conformal coatings or epoxy potting to protect from water intrusion. Additional protection is provided with compression fittings, sealed glass lenses, and high-temp silicone gaskets.
3. We Stay Solid
CAST LED’s are the only fixtures designed to last longer than the LED’s.
Aluminum, copper, and brass fixtures may claim long warranties, but these metals corrode, bend, and break
long before the LED fails. CAST bronze fixtures are the only ones that will never end up in a landfill.
4. We Range Wide
CAST LED’s have a wide voltage range (8 to24) and are protected from spikes and surges.
Many LED fixtures have limited voltage ranges that complicate installation. They are also prone to sudden failure due to power surges and spikes. CAST LED’s have filters and suppressors to protect sensitive components.
5. We are Great Drivers
CAST LED’s have extremely high quality driver components rated for extreme conditions.
Electrolytic capacitors are very susceptable to heat damage, and often lead to failure. Nearly all LED’s use
them - CAST does not. Our driver components are selected to withstand extreme time and temperatures.
6. Our Colors are Right
CAST LED’s have tight control over color temperature & rendering to match incandescent.
Most so-called “warm white” LED’s have color temps that range between 2,800K and 3,000K - noticeably
cooler than incandescents. All CAST LED’s are rated at 2,700K - indistinguishable from halogen lights.
7. We Will Never be Discarded
CAST has the only LED Fixtures that will last longer than the LED’s themselves.
Despite long warranty claims of other manufacturers, CAST is the only true lifetime product. Even if the LEDmodules are damaged due to lightning, they are replaceable. Our fixtures will never be found in a landfill.

This unique LED module is engineered to replace the incandescent lamps in all CAST Path Lights*. The unit is equipped
with a plug that mates with the S8 Wedge-Base Sockets used
in these fixtures. The heavy-cast module body provides a
highly effective heat sink to allow use of two high-power Cree
LED’s.

9 to 13 weeks.
1.
Distributor places a stand-alone purchase order with CAST Lighting for tooling/
pattern/’pre-production samples’ charge under model # CISPTC. Distributor shall include on
the purchase order the following information:
a.Distributor sales person contact: name, cell phone # and email.
b.Customer: name, project name, cell phone # and email.
c.Shipping address for pre-production samples.
d.Distributor is bound for payment of tooling/pattern/’pre-production’ expense and is
advised to get full payment from customer before placing order with CAST Lighting.
This pattern and tooling charge is non-refundable.
e.Distributors are encouraged not to mark up the tooling/pattern/’pre-production’ cost
to their customer (considered a pass-through expense) in order to keep the project as
cost competitive as possible.
2. Distributor instructs customer to contact Steve Parrott at CAST (973.423.2303 or stevep@
CAST-lighting.com) for further instructions on submitting artwork.
3. CAST informs distributor and customer by e-mail when artwork is received and approved
for production by pattern maker.
4. Turn-around time from receipt of artwork to sample production is six to nine weeks.
5. CAST proceeds with pre-production sample products.
6. CAST sends two samples to customer for pre-production approval. If changes are required,
additional charges may apply. After approval, CAST notifies distributor.
7.
Customer returns pre-production samples to CAST Lighting, attn: Steve Parrott. These
samples become the property of CAST Lighting.
8. CAST informs distributor that samples have been approved.
9. Turn-around time from receipt of final approval (and-payment) to shipping is three to four
weeks.
10. Distributor secures a purchase order from customer. Customer/distributor are placing a
non-cancelable, non-returnable order with CAST for the “Insignia Series” path lights.
11. CAST Lighting will not move ahead with production of the final order until a purchase order
is received from distributor.
12. Distributor enters product order under model # CISX2CB.
a.Minimum quantity of 6; case quantities of 3/case.
b.Apply appropriate volume discounts: 24-36 pcs (10% off stocking price);
39 or above (15% off stocking price).
c.Specify shipping address (can be drop-shipped to customer or shipped to distributor
for pick up).
13. It is advisable that distributor collects 50% down with 50% at delivery or, better yet, full
payment prior to placing purchase order with CAST lighting.
14. CAST proceeds with production. Product is shipped.
15. Custom Insignia Series artwork and production dies will be kept on file or in storage by
CAST lighting for five years from the date-of-order. Products may be re-ordered during this
time (prices for individual units subject to change) – minimum order quantity applies.

Commission
All species of sea turtles are recognized as either endangered or threatened. One of the threats to these amphibians is artificial lighting in
beachfront areas. When hatchlings emerge from their nests they may
be attracted to lights and fail to seek safety in the water.
For this reason, regions such as Florida and the Caribbean enforce restrictions on lighting in beachfront properties. These restrictions are set
by municipalities and are based primarily on two documents - the Model
Lighting Ordinance for Marine Turtle Protection and the Florida Wildlife
Lighting Criteria.
Discontinued CAST Path Lights equipped with our Amber 1156 LED's
were tested and certified by the FFWCC as 'Wildlife Lighting Certified'.
These new amber LED products are in the process of certification.
Can CAST MR-16 fixtures be used as turtle-safe lighting?
Because an MR-16 directional fixture may be misused on a beachfront property, the
FFWCC would not certify them. However, some local lighting ordinances may allow
the use of these fixtures if they have an amber or red light source and are aimed to
prevent light trespass onto the dune or beach area.

CAST LIGHTING LIMITED WARRANTY
CAST Lighting warrants its products against defects in material and workmanship. Without charge, CAST Lighting will either repair or replace (CAST Lighting reserves the right to decide between repair or replacement) any properly installed CAST Lighting product which fails
under normal operating conditions and has not undergone abuse beyond normal wear-and-tear within the specified warranty period.
All items are warranted from the date of invoice.

LED Circuits
Cast Lighting LLC warrants its LED circuits (includes LED drivers, chips, and replaceable LED modules) when purchased from an authorized Cast Lighting distributor to the original purchaser as follows.
Extended Warranty for LED Lamps and Integrated LED Circuits (applies when an approved CAST Lighting transformer and dimmer (if
used) powers and controls the system: Dynasty LED – 5 years; CAST Integrated LED’s & Modules – 5 years; CAST LED Perimeter Light – 3
years.
The following CAST Lighting transformers are approved for use with CAST Lighting LED circuits:

• CJ600PSMT
• CM1200SSMT
• CJT150SSMT
• CJ900PSMT
• CM1500SSMT
• CJ300SSMT
• CJ900SSMT
• CPT300

Use of non-approved transformers or dimmers reduces term of LED warranty coverage to one year after date of invoice.
Transformers
Transformer Warranty covers only properly installed and maintained transformers. Transformers returned and inspected at the Cast Lighting service center found to have the following will not be covered by warranty:
a.Transformers left operating in a horizontal position or while in contact with the ground,
b.Transformers left operating without cover in place as evidenced by internal weather or water damage,
c.Transformers with missing covers or other supplied parts,
d.Transformers with cut power cords, or that have been altered in any way,
e.Transformers damaged by loose terminal block screws.
Transformers installed within one thousand feet of any salt water source must be installed in an enclosure such as by Hoffman MFG or in
a building, shed or suitable protection to avoid salt spray damage to the transformer. Damage from salt spray is not covered by this warranty.
Installations in a building must adhere to applicable local electrical code. Contact local electrical authority for details specific to your
municipality or governing body.
Transformers that are returned to distributor and claim to be defective must be bench tested by the distributor prior to obtaining an RGA from Cast
Lighting. To replace a transformer that is suspected of having a warranted defect the original purchaser must contact Cast Lighting LLC and obtain a
return goods authorization (RGA) and ship FOB destination to the Cast Lighting service center identified on the RGA. Transformer will be repaired
and returned to customer either with a like model swapped out for the returned unit or the actual returned unit being repaired and returned to the
customer. Cast Lighting reserves the right to issue a credit, repair, or swap-out with a rebuilt transformer any defective transformer.
If returned transformers are found to require repairs not covered under warranty, then the customer will be notified of the repair charge and given
forty-five days from the date of estimate to choose to either repair, return un-repaired, or to abandon ownership. Transformers held over forty five
days (without communication from owner) will be considered abandoned and CAST Lighting will assume ownership. If owner authorizes unwarranted repairs, then the owner will be responsible for all repair, packaging, and shipping costs.
In addition to the above, all returned transformers must be tagged with customer’s name, contact person, problem encountered, cell phone number
and e-mail information. Do not write on transformer with a magic marker. Transformer must be packaged properly to avoid shipping damage.
Claims Procedure
To replace a product that is suspected of having a warranted defect, the original purchaser must contact Cast Lighting LLC and obtain a return goods
authorization (RGA) and ship FOB destination to the Cast Lighting service center identified on the RGA. Original owner must include proof of purchase, original purchasers name, return address and a detailed description of the allegedly defective parts or products.
Purchaser is responsible for the cost of labor to remove, repair, and reinstall any product. Cast Lighting LLC reserves the right to have a Cast Lighting
authorized technician inspect the installation prior to removal of product to verify defect claim. If any of the warranted products are found by Cast
lighting to be defective, such products will, at Cast Lighting LLC’s sole discretion, be replaced, repaired or refunded less an amount directly attributable to the owner’s prior use – such use to be calculated as a percentage of published estimated life.
Repaired or replaced product will be returned prepaid according to the shipping information provided by the original purchaser as noted on the
RGA. The parties hereto expressly agree that purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedy against Cast Lighting LLC shall be for the repair, replacement,
or refund of defective products as provided herein. This warranty extends only to product ownership by original purchaser and is not transferable
whether to heirs, subsequent owners, or otherwise. This warranty does not cover labor or any other expenses to remove or install any defective,
repaired, or replaced product.
This warranty does not apply to any products that have been subject to misuse, mishandling, misapplication, neglect (including but not limited to improper maintenance), accident, improper installation, acts of god, improper packaging of returned products, modification, lightning strikes, voltage
surges, or operating voltages in excess of +/ – 10% of the standard supply voltage of 120 volts or 230/240 volts AC, 50/60 Hz.
The forgoing warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied including those of merchantability, fitness, or for any particular purpose
or infringement. Original purchaser shall in no event be entitled to, and Cast lighting shall not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages of any nature, including, but not limited to, loss of profit, injury to reputation, and/or loss of customers. No employee or agent of
Cast Lighting may extend, modify and /or change the terms of this warranty.
