Shop drawings submitted for review will be "stamped" if acceptable or marked with required changes.
One copy of drawings will be returned to the supplier when changes are required and also when
"stamped".
The above submission procedure shall be repeated if changes are required.
Materials and dimensions shown on the "stamped" shop drawings shall not be changed.
2323.04.01.02
Notification of Production
The purchaser shall be given at least one week prior notice of the date of commencement of fabrication of
the assembly and the date of completion.
2323.04.02
Design Requirements
The assembly shall be designed as specified.
The enclosure for the assembly shall be so constructed that exposure to the weather, to the effects of
condensation, or to external splashing will not impair the effectiveness of the enclosed electrical
equipment.
The enclosure shall have:
a. A rack mounting bracket according to the details specified;
b. A removable internal equipment panelboard consisting of a combination backboard and drip shield.
The drip shield shall be formed such that the electrical components mounted on the backboard shall
not be affected by moisture condensing on the interior of the enclosure.
The panelboard shall be according to the combination service, entrance panel requirements of CSA
C22.2 No. 29 and shall accept bus bar bolt-on breakers.
c.
Internal Dead-Front Panels, Front and Back
i
The dead-front panel for the main breaker section shall be formed so as to prevent contact, by
service personnel, with live circuits from all sides in the main breaker section;
ii
The branch breaker section shall protect all secondary circuits from contact, by service personnel,
with live circuits.
The dead-front panels shall be formed so that the branch breaker panel has to be removed before the
main breaker panel can be removed. Both panels shall be supplied with quarter-turn screw latches
welded to the dead-front panels.
