Highline Products, the industry leader, supplies high quality fiberglass products to major utility
companies throughout the United States, Canada, and the British Virgin Islands.
Highline Products has supplied Fiberglass Box Pads to the electric utility industry for over 30 years.
Since 1971, hundreds of thousands of these pads have been installed by utilities in both the United States
and Canada to support single and three-phase transformers and switchgear. During this time, not a single
failure has been reported and no pad has required replacement. This record of performance is due to
our unique fiberglass preform and match metal die compression molding production process. It is this
fabrication technique that enables Highline to guarantee on-time delivery to our utility customers in
whatever quantity they require. Highline’s manufacturing method produces both uniform quality and
superior strength characteristics in fiberglass box pads, splice boxes, flat pads, pole top extensions, and
secondary pedestals.
In 1999, our fiberglass product line was expanded through the addition of fiberglass crossarms (both
tangent and deadend lengths from 4’ to 14’) and over one hundred fiberglass ground sleeve models
meeting a wide variety of design specifications. To satisfy customer needs and complement our fiberglass
product lines, Highline also introduced a full line of HDPE handholes, polymer concrete enclosures and
transformer pads.
In 2000, Highline expanded its product offering again through the acquisition of all the molds of
Fiberglas Fabricators. This product line includes deferral cabinets, single and three-phase sectionalizing
cabinets, and secondary and primary pedestals. This enables Highline to serve as a “one-stop” shop for
its customers.
During 2001, Highline focused on development of state-of-the-art, lower weight products. The result of
this work is an offering of products that are easy to install and reduce operating costs to our customers.

Introducing the New Millennium Line –
Transformer Pads for the 21ST Century
Highline Products is proud to introduce a new line of 15”, 24” and 32” transformer pads. Our innovative,
patented, design results in a product that is extremely strong and durable, yet lightweight. These products are
manufactured at our ISO9000 certified plant using compression molding tools and a specially formulated SMC
(sheet molding compound). This process assures consistent product quality as well as other benefits such as:
• UV protection throughout the entire product, versus surface only protection
of a spray up fiberglass box
• Superior side wall strength which helps reduce sidewall deflection
• Up to a 40% weight reduction from traditional box pads
• Easy installation
• Fire retardant
• Rapid production — which yields shorter lead-times
Through our innovative manufacturing technique, Highline Products can now offer its compression molded
product line with an expanded number of top openings including openings customized to your needs.
Thus, Highline compression molded products are now available to meet a wider range of customer needs.
Durability Over the Long Haul
Northeast Underground Guidelines (NEUG) call for box pads with a minimum safety factor of 2x for the
normal life span of a transformer — 30 years. Recent testing of 30-year old Highline box pads, returned
from the field, revealed they still carried loads up to 7,000 pounds while complying with deflection criteria of
NEUG. The New Millennium Line is an extension of this history of quality, while pricing is in line with the
current needs of our customers.
