Catalog Changes—Swing-Away and In-Line Augers
Description of change: Catalog changes to Swing-Away and In-Line Augers
effective November 1, 2015.

All Swing-Away and In-Line Augers will be ordered as a base auger (similar to the way 13”
augers were ordered last year).

Catalog numbers have been changed and reflect Hutchinson or Mayrath and ZAM® galvanizing or powder coated.

Catalog numbers also reflect the size, length, and description of the auger.

All Drive Kits must be ordered to complete the auger.

ZAM® Galvanizing
Product: ZAM®, a registered trademark of Wheeling-Nisshin, is a highly corrosion-resistant
hot-dipped coated steel sheet that has a layer of zinc, aluminum, and magnesium.
Effective November 1, 2015, Hutchinson/Mayrath will start using ZAM® coated steel
instead of galvanized steel to better protect the steel product.

NEW Sweep End-Wheel
Product: Sweep End Wheel
Product Improvement Overview: With the new Sweep End Wheel we eliminate having the enclosed drive in
between the sweep and the wheel as the 8.5 reduction is built inside of the wheel. This allows newly
designed sweeps to be closer to the bin wall reducing the amount of grain along the edges of the bin.
The thick polyurethane treads break up compacted grain and dig down on the bin floor, powering
through all types of grain with ease for more efficiency, less downtime and greater productivity. In
addition, the tread sections can be removed easily when in need of replacement.
Retrofit kits are also available for most 8” and 10” Power Sweeps and Klean Sweeps already installed.
Installation of the Retro-Fit Kits have been done in less than 15 minutes.
Comments: After Retro-Fit Kit is installed, the wheel will be a little farther from the wall due to the
elimination of the gap from the chain drive reduction.

Power Sweep Features
Product: 8” and 10” Standard and HD Power Sweeps
Product Release Overview: All new Power Sweeps will now come standard with the new Sweep End -Wheel
(PRN 16-01), a new gearbox to reduce the shaft to get the sweep closer to the floor (estimated 1” off bin
floor), and extend the flight and shield bundles to get the auger flight and end wheel closer to the bin
wall.
Catalog Numbers: All Power Sweep part numbers have been updated to reflect the changes in the bill of

Klean Sweep Features
Products: 810 and 1012 Commercial Klean Sweeps
Product Release Overview: The 810 and 1012 Series Commercial Klean Sweeps have been re-designed with a
2.25:1 double gearbox drive to allow for the sweep to be positioned closer to the floor. The sweeps also
incorporate the new sweep end wheel with a cycloidal gear reducer located inside the wheel. A new
carrier will also be included with sweeps for 48' and larger bins. The new carrier sits behind the sweep
for less interference as the sweep drives into the grain.
Catalog Numbers:

810 Series will have a 1 inserted after the bin size (Ex BK10241SD)

1012 Series will have the “1” changed to a “2” after the bin size (Ex. BK12242SD)


drive and new sweep wheel. Consult the factory or your Territory Manager for the part numbers. This

9” and 13” Mass-Ter Flow 90 Degree Intermediate Discharge with electronically controlled Rack and Pinion



Drives will now utilize the Dodge Torque Arm II style gear reducers. In addition to higher torque
rating the change also increases commonality of parts like shafts, bearings, slides, shaft seals, sprockets and belt guards.
13” 90 Degree intermediate discharge with electronically controlled Rack and Pinion has been added
to the product line. Different motor options have been made available for both the 9” and 13” discharge to accommodate for various needs.
9” and 13” Mass-Ter Flow Conveyor Assemblies

Trunk sections have been redesigned to eliminate the return chain rail angles which the UHMW paddles slide on. 2.5” Nylatron Rollers have been centered in the trunk housing for the chain to roll over
as it returns.

Reversing boot assembly has been designed for all cataloged conveyor lengths
Model 150 30 and 45 Degree Corners

New design incorporates a continuous radius of the top cover panel to reduce return chain paddle impact, outboard pillow block bearings with UHMW seals, raised divider panel, double segmental style
sprockets with relief cutouts to prevent material buildup, and a removable cleanout panel in the bottom of the corners.
