Meet the new Genesys 3.0: a high performance LED T8 tube made in the USA by LED Waves’
in-house team, to your custom specifications.
LED technology allows this T8 to outlast fluorescents with sturdy, solid-state construction
(without mercury or other toxic chemicals), and eliminates the end-of-lifetime flickering and light
deterioration of traditional T8s. And since LEDs are directional, there is zero waste - 100% of its
lumen output is directed where it’s needed most. With more useful light, one LED T8 can replace
two fluorescent tubes!
In the past, LED T8 replacements have been associated disappointing lumen output, noticeable
pixelation, and inconsistent light quality. LED Waves solved these problems with a 96-LED board,
creating smooth, bright light along its entire 4 foot length. The Genesys features Philips LUXEON
M LEDs - specially designed for higher flux, efficacy, and color consistency from one diode to the
next. Standard color temperature options include warm white (3000K) or neutral white (4000K).
The Genesys is made with your choice of 2 LED drivers, based on your lighting and power needs:
Choose the 20W version for maximum energy savings, or the 38W driver to deliver the highest
lumen output. Easy to install, our driver replaces your fluorescent ballast and helps lower the
fixture temperature, ensuring at least double the lifespan of a traditional T8. And, like our other
American-made LED lights, the Genesys 3.0 is covered by LED Waves’ 5 Year Warranty.

The 18 Watt Massachusetts (MA) LED AR-111 replaces 75 Watt halogen down lights. Its futuristic look,
enhanced beam control, and pleasant, non-glaring light make the AR-111 indispensable for high end niche
applications. Also known as a PAR36, this 12-Volt light bulb is commonly used in shops, hotels, galleries,
restaurants, and other commercial spaces.
With its G53 screw terminal base, this LED bulb is a direct replacement for low-volt lighting systems. The MA

What’s Inside? An Overview
Thomas DriverS: Bearing the industry’s most trusted name in solid
state power supplies, the Thomas drivers inside the Andromeda feature
protection against over-current, over-temperature, over-voltage, and short
circuits. The Andromeda employs two units, driven below capacity as an
added precaution against electrical overstress.
Advanced Optics: An optic sits on top of the LED chip to distribute
the light. The Carclo optic produces a round distribution of light, ideal for
illuminating open spaces such as a large retail store. The Ledil optic produces
an oval-shaped distribution of light, ideal for illuminating tight spaces such as
warehouse aisles.
Machined Heat Sink: The only high bay body of its kind on the market.
Our exclusive in-house design is machined from high quality 6061 aluminum
- not the silicon-injected aluminum one finds in competitors’ LED high bays.
This leading edge construction distributes heat more evenly, prolonging the
lifespan of the LEDs.
THE CREE XM-L LED: Delivering the market’s highest efficacy at very
high drive currents, the XM-L is the best performing chip for high-lumen
applications. It is the latest chip utilizing Cree’s SC³ silicon carbide-based
technology. Previous LED replacements used several hundred chips to replicate the light output of metal halide lamps. The XM-L is so efficient, we are
able to use a small fraction of that amount to bring you this cost effective,
streamlined solution.

Protect Your Investment – Protect Your LED Driver
The Andromeda includes circuits to avoid damage in compromising conditions.

In the event of over-voltage, driver will shut down. Cycle input voltage to reset.
·
If temperature exceeds 115° C (239° F), driver will shut down and reset itself.
·
In the event of over-current or short circuit, output current is reduced to zero, driver resets itself, and
output current is restored. Driver will flash until the threat is removed.
Replacing Your High Bays: It’s Not
[Just] About the Lumens
Typical high bay luminaires use metal halide or high pressure sodium technology, with is omnidirectional. Most of
the output misses the target area and instead gets lost within the high bay fixture. These lumens are considered
to be wasted. LEDs are directional. All the output is transmitted towards the target area, with little to no light
loss within the high bay fixture. As a result of this difference, a lumens-for-lumens match between an LED and a
metal halide lamp is only partially relevant.
