Description
The IN4514SZ is an octal linear differential-input, single-ended output driver for
400G dual-carrier, dual-polarization optical transmission applications.
The IN4514SZ provides SMT differential inputs and GPPO single-ended outputs
to interface directly with next generation digital-to-analog converters (DAC) and
Mach-Zehnder modulators, respectively. The IN4514SZ accepts differential
inputs and produces linear outputs.
The 4514SZ has high bandwidth and adjustable gain and can be operated in
manual gain control mode or automatic gain control mode.
The gain may be controlled in the analog domain or in the digital domain via the
device’s SPI interface. The IN4514SZ allows the user to inject a tone into the
signal path that that can be modulated by the data signal.
The IN4514SZ also includes peak detectors and temperature monitoring circuits.
The peak detector output and the temperature monitor reading can be read
directly in the analog domain or in the digital domain via the SPI interface.
The IN4514SZ is available in a RoHS6-compliant package with fully integrated
bias-Ts.
