Sealed bids submitted in DUPLICATE in a sealed envelope with the words "CITY OF GENEVA 2014
3 TON DUMP TRUCK" clearly marked on it, will be received by the City of Geneva, Illinois until 10:00
a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the office of the City Administrator, 22 South First Street, Geneva,
IL 60134, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for a 3-Ton Dump Truck with dump
body, hydraulics and snowplow/spreader. The bid package may be obtained at the Public Works
Department located at 1800 South Street, Geneva, Illinois or at www.geneva.il.us/bids.aspx

General Conditions
1.
BID SUBMISSION
Bids shall be submitted in duplicate sealed envelopes clearly labeled "CITY OF GENEVA (1)
2014 3 TON DUMP TRUCK". Include return address on sealed envelope. Bids shall be submitted on the
City of Geneva bid forms only. Bid received after the specified time and date will be returned to the bidder
unopened. *
2.
BID AWARD AND RESERVATION
The City of Geneva reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities and to accept
the bid which in the opinion of the City Council is the best value for the municipality's use and purpose.
3.
TAXES
The City of Geneva is exempt from the Illinois Retailers Sales and Occupation Tax. An exemption
certificate will be furnished upon request.
4.
BID DEPOSIT
A bid deposit will not be required.

Bidders may submit bids on one or more pieces of equipment included. Each bid shall be submitted
independently considering possible acceptance of one or all of the bids submitted by that bidder. As an
example, if a bidder submits a bid for a cab and chassis and a dump body, the City may choose to accept
a bid for the cab and chassis only.
